While you’re there, check out the art of dear friends Robert Atkins, Art Jenkins, and Karen Butler. Robert Atkins resides in Augusta, GA, and grew up in Pensacola. He painted many scenes of Historic Belmont DeVilliers that are in many collections.”

The Real Women Radio Foundation is deeply saddened by the passing of Rev. Jessica Jackson.
He was more than a leader; he was our inspiration. His life’s work for justice and equity is the very reason we do what we do. We carry his mission in our hearts and his courage in our voices.

Our deepest prayers go out to his family and the community. We will continue to build on the foundation he laid.

TO THE ESCAMBIA COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AND THE CITIZENS OF ESCAMBIA COUNTY:

The Real Women Radio (RWR) Foundation is compelled to address the inaccurate and defamatory statements made by a citizen during the Gary Sansing Public Forum on January 8, 2026.

At RWR Foundation, our work is rooted in the belief that a community is only as strong as its most vulnerable members. During the forum, it was incorrectly stated that our organization is "racist" and exclusively serves one demographic. This is a fundamental mischaracterization of our mission and our daily operations.

For the record, the mission of the Real Women Radio Foundation is to build economically vibrant and sustainable communities throughout Northwest Florida. While we are proud to serve underserved areas that have historically faced a lack of resources, our programs—including our workforce development scholarships and civic engagement initiatives—are inclusive, accessible, and designed for individuals from all walks of life.

Our "Resources Reimagined" philosophy is about meeting people where they are, regardless of their background, to provide the tools for economic justice and civic participation. We stand by our record of service to Escambia County and remain committed to fostering an environment of equity and opportunity for all residents.
