Known for their pink wigs, sparkly tiaras and tireless dedication to raising awareness in our community, the Krewe du YaYas are the face of The Keeping Abreast Foundation. Throughout the year, the YaYas coordinate multiple fundraising events that fund our programs. Our programs:
Breast Health Mammography- pays for breast health-related screening and diagnostic services. The Keeping Abreast Foundation presently has partnerships with The Women’s Group, Woodlands Medical Specialists and South Baldwin Regional Medical Center. Breast Cancer Assistance Program: This grant based program is designed to assist individuals needing financial assistance in our community who are undergoing treatment or in recovery from breast cancer. Support includes but it not limited to:
•Paying for mammograms for those who can’t otherwise afford them
•Assisting with the purchase of wigs and mastectomy bras
•Offsetting the expense of costly medications
•Sponsoring families in crisis
•Offsetting housecleaning costs for those in recovery

The Krewe du Ya Yas Keeping Abreast Foundation (KAB) is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization that was established in 2010. The Keeping Abreast Foundation is recognized by the IRS as a tax-exempt charitable organization. Your donations can be used as a tax write-off within the limits of the law.

Thank you Pensacola Jeeps and Hill-Kelly Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram!! What an amazing 5th Annual Breast Cancer Benefit and the phenomenal amount raised totaling $6,685.22!! We are so GRATEFUL!!

What a beautiful day to give back to our community!
We were truly honored to present a check for $6,685.72 to the Keeping Abreast Foundation following our 5th Annual Breast Cancer Benefit. This event is always one of our favorites of the entire year, and we are deeply grateful to everyone in the Pensacola Jeeps family who participated and supported the cause.

A very special thank you to Hill-Kelly Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram for sponsoring our event and for their continued partnership in helping us make a real difference locally.

Today was such a special day for the Keeping Abreast Foundation! 💗

We gathered with amazing community partners, healthcare providers, and others who share our mission of making sure no one faces breast cancer alone.

I had the pleasure of speaking and sharing how our Breast Cancer Assistance Committee works to support patients facing the financial challenges that can come with cancer treatment.

We also help with screenings like mammograms, breast MRI and breast ultrasounds for those who may not otherwise be able to afford them. We are so proud to serve our LOCAL community!

We regret to inform you that due to the increased probability of the severe storm front coming in. The Krewe du YaYas has rescheduled our “One Stroke Closer to a Cure” golf tournament to December 4th.

A mammogram is more than a screening. It is peace of mind. It is a chance to catch something early. It is a step that could make all the difference for you and the people who love you.

Through our relationship with the Keeping Abreast Foundation, Baldwin Health is proud to offer free mammograms for eligible women who may not otherwise have access to this important screening.

You may qualify if you:
• Are age 40 or older, or under 40 and at increased risk for breast cancer
• Live in Baldwin or Escambia County, Alabama, or Escambia or Santa Rosa County, Florida
• Have no insurance, limited coverage, or your insurance does not cover the full cost of a mammogram
• Meet income eligibility guidelines

Early detection saves lives, and help may be available.
