Did you know…

Vitamin D plays a role in MS.

MS is more common in less sunny climates furthest away from the tropical countries around the equator.

Research has shown that the nutrient can act as a barrier against MS, and may lead to fewer relapses in people who already have the disease.

A few weeks ago a few Yoke Ministries board members had the pleasure of attending a gala for a local MS nonprofit called MS Moments. It is always a great time getting in a room with others who have MS or are huge supporters of MS! (Excuse the dark pictures)

It is incredible the medical advancements that are happening. There is a long ways to go to prove this stuff out but still so fascinating to see.

Two new compounds show promise in repairing nerve damage caused by MS.

Scientists have identified two compounds, K102 and K110, that can repair nerve damage in multiple sclerosis. These drugs promote regeneration of the protective myelin sheath around nerves. They also help balance immune responses that drive MS progression. The discovery represents a potential breakthrough beyond current anti-inflammatory treatments. The compounds have shown effectiveness in both mouse models and human cell studies. Licensed by Cadenza Bio, the therapy is advancing toward clinical trials. This could become the first treatment to reverse neurological damage in MS patients. The research offers hope for restoring function in neurodegenerative diseases.

Today is World MS Day. I saw a friend of mine post this picture and thought it was a great representation of the statistics of MS and what some of us face. If you are a MS Warrior and see this post we pray that you feel seen and loved today and every day!
