Today our Expedition Andalusia travelers spent time at the Trópolis Center, where they rolled up their sleeves and learned traditional bread making and pottery techniques. From shaping dough by hand to creating their own pottery pieces, the group experienced firsthand the artistry and skill that have been part of this region's culture for generations.

A morning of creativity, culture, and connection!

Our Expedition Andalusia travelers spent the morning with local weavers, learning traditional hand-tying techniques and trying their hand at working on the loom. Through this hands-on experience, they gained an appreciation for the craftsmanship, patience, and artistry that have been passed down through generations.

Afterward, the group explored the village, discovering its unique character and history while participating in a fun scavenger hunt that encouraged teamwork, observation, and adventure.

Every day brings new opportunities to learn, explore, and build confidence through meaningful experiences that simply can't be replicated in a classroom.

Expedition Andalusia continues!

Today began with a walk through the historic Albaicín (Gypsy Quarter), where our travelers explored winding streets, enjoyed local shopping, and took in breathtaking views of the Alhambra and the city of Granada.

The group then experienced one of Spain’s most treasured traditions with a Flamenco lesson led by Violeta Ruiz. Through music, movement, and culture, they gained a deeper appreciation for the passion and history behind this iconic art form. After lunch and a little more shopping, the adventure continued as the group traveled to the beautiful Alpujarra region and the picturesque village of Pampaneira, where they will spend the next two nights.

Every day brings new opportunities to experience the culture, history, and beauty of southern Spain while building confidence, independence, and lifelong memories.
