Update: Thank you to everyone that has reached out to help. Our storage building was damaged, we lost oir chainsaw, w**deater, some various garden tools, garden hoses, hose reels, plants and several trellises/cages.
We are always in need of w**d cloth, bird netting, wood to replace rotten garden beds, plants, seeds, bird feed, hummingbird feeders, bird houses, bird baths, compost, etc. Any funds left over after replacing what was lost will go towards items that are on our wish list.
If you would like to donate, we have set up a donation spot here.

Help! The Pearland Community garden has been vandalized located next to the YMCA on YMCA drive. Sometime yesterday (June 22nd) or the night before (June 21st) the damage was done. Our tool shed was broken into and ruined, equipment stolen (chainsaw, hoses, hose reels, garden tools), plants were pulled out and beds destroyed. Not only is this a loss of equipment and tools, it is also a loss of volunteer time and effort, and loss of produce that goes to the food bank. If you have information, please contact Cassie Mitchel at 281-804-4211 or email [email protected]
The community garden was established in 2010. It is a shared space where produce is grown by volunteers to donate to local food pantries. So far this year we have grown and donated over 500 lbs to local food banks. We have learning beds to educate the public such as an heirloom rose bed, a monarch butterfly bed, a native plant bed, and a cactus bed. Allotment beds are also located at the garden where local citizens rent beds to raise their own produce for their families. This is devastating to our volunteers and allotment bed owners..
