Tune In & Tune Up is a nonprofit supporting musicians and music professionals with access to medical, dental, and behavioral health care, plus the resources they need to thrive on and off the stage. Our Vision
To create a world where musicians' health and well-being are recognized, supported, and celebrated, ensuring they have the resources and care needed to flourish in their creative pursuits. T

Behavioral Health issues are common among our community and we are here to help. Anyone living in Rhode Island that is working in the music industry is encouraged to contact our licensed therapists. This includes musicians, songwriters, sound engineers, producers, live crew, tour bus drivers, music managers and agents, music video creatives, and technicians. A legendary figure in the blues world, James is best known as the frontman of The James Montgomery Blues Band, bringing decades of experience, collaboration, and energy to the stage.

He’s performed with some of the biggest names in music and previously served as President of the New England Blues Society, championing the genre and the artists behind it.

At Tune In & Tune Up, he helps bridge the gap between the music industry and the healthcare resources musicians need.

Meet Steve Smith
Industry Liaison, Tune In & Tune Up

As the longtime frontman of Steve Smith and the Nakeds, Steve has been a staple of the Rhode Island music scene since the 1970s.

Known for their signature horn-driven sound, the band has become a New England favorite, earning a place in the Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame in 2013 and even making an appearance on Family Guy.

Through Tune In & Tune Up, Steve brings that same passion for music into supporting the people behind it.

On Sunday, October 18, Tune In Tune Up presents, Amplify Her: A Celebration of Women in Music at THE MET in Pawtucket.

The afternoon will feature performances by Debra Devi and The Winehouse Project, along with an outstanding lineup of featured artists: Adrienne West, Becky Chace, Beth Killian, Julie Rhodes, Lainey Dionne, Marci Hooper & Maeve Malloy, Sarah Lupo, and School of Rock Attleboro.

Amplify Her celebrates the talent, creativity, and impact of women in music while supporting Tune In Tune Up's mission of helping musicians and music professionals access medical, dental, behavioral health, and personal support resources.

Meet Kai Nanfelt
Community Outreach, Tune In & Tune Up

Kai began writing and playing guitar at 21, quickly discovering songwriting as something more than music; it became an outlet.

Today, his work centers around mental health and honest storytelling.

That same perspective carries into his role at Tune In Tune Up, helping connect musicians with support while reminding them they're not alone in what they're going through.

On July 17, Kai released a brand new single, "Down," and he's generously donating 100% of the streaming proceeds for its first 100 days to Tune In, Tune Up.

It's an incredible gift, and we're grateful for Kai's commitment to giving back through his music.
