In 1995, Dolly Parton started mailing books to children in her home county to inspire children to love reading in honor of her dad, who couldn’t read or write. This is how Dolly Parton's Imagination Library was born.

That idea lives here too. Every month, children in our Pawtucket community find a book in the mailbox — because of neighbors who fund it, volunteers who run it, and a woman from Sevier County, TN who started it all.

Thank you, Dolly. We will always love you.

A big thank you to Riffraff Bookstore + Bar and Anika Aldamuy Denise for including us in their most recent children’s event. We had so much fun meeting families and hearing some wonderful stories. We're ready for back to school! A big thank you to Centreville Bank for including us in their wonderful back to school backpack giveaway! Our board chair Deb and wonderful volunteer Lonnie had a blast meeting families and getting students ready for the year with free books from our table. We even had a special visit from Breeze, Rhode Island FC's mascot!
