"Be selfless, not selfish" is the class motto for Madison teachers Helena Alves and Angela Chavez. This year, their class brought that motto to life by creating their own book of poems to support dogs in need. Students read their work aloud at Madison's Poetry Night to End the Plight, raising funds for their canine cause.

Big thanks to the Los Angeles Chargers for gifting PEF 100 tickets to last Thursday's preseason game at SoFi Stadium! Many of those seats went to PUSD's Maintenance & Operations staff, the people who keep our schools safe, clean, and running every day. For one night, they got to just sit back and watch the game.

⚾ From the classroom to Dodger Stadium! John Muir High School Early College Magnet's Sports Industry Academy students got an inside look at the world of professional sports, including time on the field during batting practice and a meet-and-greet with Dodgers Manager Dave Roberts.

The day also included a Dodgers game and clothing from UNIQLO’s The Heart of LifeWear initiative. Thank you to the Pasadena Educational Foundation, Uniqlo, and the Los Angeles Dodgers for creating this opportunity for our students!
