Supporting veterans with service dogs doesn’t stop at the end of the leash—it takes an educated, informed, and welcoming community around them.

Paws 4 Liberty is excited to offer more Community Partner Classes to local businesses, organizations, agencies, nonprofits, schools, healthcare teams, first responders, hospitality teams, and other community groups!

Our Community Partners Class provides practical, real-world education on:

🐕‍🦺 Service Dogs — what they are, what they do & common misconceptions
⚖️ Public Access — understanding rights, responsibilities & real-world situations
🤝 Service Dog Etiquette — appropriate interactions, questions to ask & what to avoid
📣 Advocacy — how to support legitimate service dog teams
🇺🇸 Supporting Veterans — helping create a community where veterans and their service dogs feel understood and welcomed

Organizations that complete the class become recognized Paws 4 Liberty Community Partners, joining a growing network committed to making our community more service dog-informed and veteran-supportive.

And we’re ready to bring the class TO YOUR TEAM!

Paws 4 Liberty is proud to join Southeast Florida Honor Flight in welcoming home the incredible veterans of Mission #60! ❤️🤍💙

On Saturday, September 19th, local WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam War veterans will return home after spending the day in Washington, D.C., visiting the memorials built to honor their service and sacrifices.

We’re inviting our Paws 4 Liberty veterans and service dog teams, families, friends, supporters, and the entire community to come stand with us and make their homecoming LOUD, PROUD, and unforgettable! 🇺🇸

📍 President Donald J. Trump International Airport
⛳ We will meet at The PGA Store on the SECOND LEVEL and then all move together to the Honor Flight welcome-home area.
⏰ Please arrive by 8:30 PM to allow time for parking.
✈️ Honor Flight is scheduled to arrive at 9:20 PM.

🐕 Bring your dogs!
🇺🇸 Bring your American flags!
❤️ Make some welcome-home signs!
👏 And bring ALL the enthusiasm!

We are beyond proud to announce that Paws 4 Liberty has been named a BEST OF FLORIDA winner! 🎉

This recognition belongs to every veteran who has trusted us to be part of their journey. Every service dog who has put on the vest and gone to work. Every graduate who has crossed that stage as part of a stronger team. Every trainer, staff member, volunteer, donor, community partner, and supporter who has believed in what we do and helped us keep moving forward.

At Paws 4 Liberty, our mission has never been about simply training dogs.

It’s about changing lives. Building independence. Restoring confidence. Creating partnerships. And standing beside our veterans long after graduation day.

Being named Best of Florida is an incredible honor — but what makes us proudest is knowing that the work behind this award happens every single day, one veteran and one service dog team at a time. 🐾

🐾 15 NEW COMMUNITY PARTNERS & SERVICE DOG ADVOCATES! 🐾

We had the opportunity to teach our second Community Partners class to the incredible staff and volunteers at Furry Friends, and we’re so excited to officially welcome 15 new certified Community Partners & Service Dog Advocates into the community! 🎓🐕‍🦺

Our Community Partners Program is about so much more than simply learning the laws surrounding service dogs. We’re creating informed advocates who understand service dog etiquette, appropriate interactions with working teams, accessibility, common misconceptions, and how businesses and community members can help create environments where veterans and service dog handlers feel welcomed and supported.

A HUGE thank you to Furry Friends for opening your doors to us, investing in this education, and sharing our passion for supporting veterans and their service dogs. 💛 We are incredibly excited about this partnership and everything we have coming together — this is only the beginning!

We now have 15 more people in our community who can recognize barriers, educate others, advocate appropriately, and help make our community more service-dog friendly. That’s exactly what this program is about. 🐾

🤝 Tip Tuesday: Feed the Relationship

Your service dog doesn’t work for you because they have to.

They work beside you because you’ve built a relationship worth following.

The strongest service dog teams aren’t built on obedience alone—they’re built on trust, communication, consistency, and connection. Every interaction you have with your dog is either strengthening or weakening that partnership.

Relationship enrichment doesn’t have to be complicated. It can be as simple as:

❤️ Hand-feeding a meal.
🎾 Playing together without distractions.
🌲 Exploring somewhere new.
👀 Rewarding eye contact and engagement.
🧼 Grooming or giving your dog a relaxing massage.
👏 Celebrating the little wins during training.
🚶 Letting your dog make safe choices on a decompression walk.
☀️ Sitting together and simply enjoying the moment.

These small moments create something much bigger—a dog who trusts you, looks to you for guidance, and enjoys working as your teammate.

At Paws 4 Liberty, we believe that a service dog’s greatest task isn’t retrieving an item or interrupting a panic attack.

Today we get to celebrate another incredible veteran and service dog team officially graduating from the Paws 4 Liberty program! ❤️🤍💙

Grant and Yoshi have worked hard to build the communication, trust, and partnership that makes a service dog team successful. From learning new skills to navigating challenges together, every step has strengthened the bond between these two.

Yoshi may have earned his graduation ribbon, but the real accomplishment is the partnership standing behind it—a veteran and his dog learning how to move through life as a team. 🐕‍🦺

We’re incredibly proud of how far Grant & Yoshi have come and grateful to have been part of their journey.

Another service dog team has officially crossed the finish line! ❤️🤍💙

Nick and Magnolia have put in the time, consistency, patience, and countless hours of training it takes to become a strong working team. Today, all of that hard work was recognized as they celebrated their Service Dog Program Graduation! 🎉

Magnolia has grown into so much more than a trained service dog—she is Nick’s partner, teammate, and constant companion as they move forward together.

We are incredibly proud of everything these two have accomplished and honored to have been part of their journey. The certificate may say program completion, but this is really the beginning of everything they’ve worked toward together.

Today we celebrate a huge milestone as Ceasar officially graduates as a service dog! 💙

This graduation represents so much more than ribbons, certificates, and completed training hours. It represents the countless sessions, repetitions, challenges, breakthroughs, and hard work that Angel and Ceasar have put in together to become the team they are today.

Ceasar has learned the skills and tasks he needs to support Angel, but just as importantly, Angel has learned how to communicate with him, advocate for their team, maintain his training, and continue building their partnership long after graduation.

Graduation doesn’t mean the training stops—it means they’re ready to take everything they’ve learned and continue the journey together. 🐕‍🦺

We are incredibly proud to officially send Angel & Ceasar into their next chapter as a graduated service dog team.

Congratulations, you two. You earned this! 🎓💙🐾

🧠 Tip Tuesday: Feed the Mind

A physically tired dog is nice…

A mentally fulfilled dog is life-changing.

One of the biggest misconceptions in dog ownership is that more physical exercise is always the answer. While movement is important, our dogs also need opportunities to think, solve problems, make choices, and learn.

Mental enrichment helps build:
🧩 Confidence
🎯 Focus
💙 Emotional resilience
🐾 Adaptability
🤝 Stronger communication between you and your dog

Whether your service dog is learning a new task, practicing obedience in a new environment, or simply searching for treats hidden around the house, every challenge helps strengthen their mind and prepares them for the real world.

This week, try adding one new mental enrichment activity to your routine:

🧠 Teach a new trick.
👃 Practice scent work.
🦴 Hide treats around the house.
🎾 Use a food puzzle.
📍 Train somewhere new.
🔍 Play “Find It.”
🐕 Practice duration on Place.
💡 Let your dog solve a problem instead of solving it for them.
