In addition to main stage productions, Ballet Palm Beach administers a number of outreach programs including Ballet by the Book, Flash Ballet, A Day at the Ballet, and others at no cost to participants. Its ballet school, Ballet Palm Beach Academy is structured using RPM, fo

unded by Ruth C Petrinovic, which provides scientifically-backed teaching, reducing injuries caused by unnaturally forced movement.

FRANKENSTEIN DAY // August 30 is celebrated as “Frankenstein Day,” honoring the birthday of its exceptional author, Mary Shelley. Her groundbreaking 1818 Gothic novel, Frankenstein is widely regarded as one of the earliest works of science fiction.

Ballet Palm Beach’s world premiere of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein brings the legendary story of the novel’s creation to life:
The ballet begins during a stormy summer in Switzerland in 1816, when a young Mary Shelley, her lover Percy Bysshe Shelley, her stepsister Claire Clairmont, and Lord Byron gather at Villa Diodati. Challenged to write the most compelling ghost story, they compete to create the most horrifying tale. Following a haunting nightmare, mary is inspired. She envisions a brilliant scientist who brings a living being to life, only to face the terrifying consequences of abandoning his monstrous creation.

From Mary’s imagination, the story blurs the lines between the writer, her world, and the creature she brought to life on the page … all through the haunting beauty of ballet.

Ballet Palm Beach presents the world premiere of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, October 22–25, 2026.

After receiving key information for the season ahead, students and their parents made their way to Studio A — which was transformed into a pop-up shop filled with the most adorable ballet goodies!🎀
