56 boxes of cereal. One beautiful legacy.

Every month, our beloved Jane started a tradition at the Rotary Club of Palatine. We each brought fun cereal to donate to Faith Feeds, giving the kids who visit the food pantry a little something special to enjoy.

Our previous record was 34 boxes. This morning, at our first meeting since Jane’s passing, we collected 56 boxes in her memory.

Jane, your impact lives on in the things we do, the people we serve, and the kindness we share. We miss you, but your legacy continues — one box of cereal at a time.

WE'LL MISS YOU JANE

The Rotary Club of Palatine mourns the loss of our dear friend and fellow Rotarian, Jane McCarthy.

Jane was a true humanitarian, a giver of all things, and the ultimate hostess with the mostest. She had an open mind, an open heart, and was always ready to step up whenever someone needed help. Giving to others wasn’t just something Jane did; it was who she was.

The world is better because Jane was in it. Our club, our community, and so many of us are better for having known her.

Jane, you will be deeply missed. Thank you for being such a beautiful example of the Rotary way. Your legacy of love, generosity, and Service Above Self will live on in all of us
