This Thanksgiving, the streets of New York City will come alive with color, music, and excitement during the 2025 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Among the most anticipated highlights is the return of Beagle Scout Snoopy, the beloved Peanuts character who has become the Parade’s longest-running balloon. This year, Snoopy floats alongside his trusty sidekick Woodstock, bringing a sense of adventure and nostalgia to fans of all ages.

The Beagle Scout Snoopy balloon is truly a spectacle. Standing 55 feet tall, it reaches the height of a five-story building, stretches 42 feet long (equivalent to six bicycles) and spans 34 feet wide, about the length of five New York City taxi cabs. Its iconic oversized hat is a playful detail that measures as long as 17 beagles lined up end to end.

Dear Scouting Friends,

Takhone Lodge is excited to announce our 30th annual Haunted Hollow. Formerly known as Haunted Hike, this year we have a new name to celebrate our 30th year and to help make this event bigger and better than ever. The Haunted Hollow is our largest annual fundraiser and proceeds from the event go directly back into our local Scouting program. We use proceeds from our fundraisers to donate to our council camps and subsidize programs for our Scouts.

The Haunted Hollow is our version of a Haunted House. This year's theme is the "American Folklore". Order of the Arrow members decorate tents and guide participants through an approximately 45 minute haunt. We offer an afternoon fright-free option for some of our younger participants as well as an extra-scary option for our older participants.

26th World Scout Jamboree
Gdańsk, Poland: July 30, 2027 — August 8, 2027
The World Scout Jamboree is one of the largest outdoor educational events for youth on the planet! Tens of thousands of Scouts from all over the world come together to camp outdoors and join in fun activities where they make new friends, learn about other cultures, and develop leadership skills that will last a lifetime.

This event is open to Scouts between the ages of 14 and 17 from all 176 Member Organizations. Bravely is the motto of Jamboree inspires courage, collaboration, and engagement. This motto holds particular significance in Poland, especially in Gdańsk, a city renowned for its association with the historic Solidarity movement.
