Summer may have just begun, but here at PCI we are already looking ahead to the next school year!

Every year, there are families in our community who need a little extra support gathering the supplies their children need to start the school year, and we anticipate that need will be even greater this year.

That’s why we’re kicking off our School Supply Drive! We are collecting notebooks, pencils, backpacks, crayons, markers, folders, and other school essentials to help students of all ages head back to school ready to learn and thrive.

Donations can be dropped off at the PCI office, located at 550 B Hot Springs Blvd, now through August.

Together, we can help ensure every child starts the school year off strong. Thank you for supporting local students and families!

This Thursday, June 18, the nonprofit spotlight at the 19th Hole Concert Series is on Pagosa Community Initiative!

We are so incredibly honored to be selected as one of this year’s featured nonprofits and would love to see our community come out and support this fantastic event.

Join us at the Pagosa Springs Golf Club from 5:30–7:30 PM for an evening of live music from Outlaw Firm, great company, and summer fun.

A $10 ticket supports local nonprofits, and all proceeds from the concert series are shared among the 4 featured organizations.

Bring a chair, grab some food and drinks from Square Top Bar-B-Q, and dance the evening away while supporting programs that strengthen our community.

Before the concert, be sure to tune in on Wednesday, June 17, when PCI will be featured on the Pagosa Springs Area Chamber of Commerce talk show. We’ll be sharing updates about our programs and the work we’re doing to support local youth, families, and residents throughout Archuleta County.

We can’t wait to see you there!

Good morning, campers!

We have a great week lined up for our G.E.T. Wild Child Camp!

Today is all about free play, picnics, and time at the park as we kick off another week of summer fun.

Tomorrow, we’ll be heading out to Piedra Falls for an outdoor adventure and some time exploring one of our area’s beautiful natural spaces.

Wednesday brings a trip to one of our favorite destinations, the Blue Lagoon!

Then on Thursday, we’ll wrap up the week with crafts, ice cream, and camp goodbyes.

Please be sure your camper comes prepared with plenty of sunscreen, a water bottle, and appropriate clothing and shoes for our daily adventures.

As always, Colorado weather likes to keep us on our toes, so plans may change if conditions require it. We appreciate your flexibility and can’t wait for a week full of fun, smiles, and exploring!

Our Kick-Off to Summer Camp has officially wrapped up, and what an amazing two weeks it has been! We’ve spent our days soaking up the sunshine, exploring the outdoors, and enjoying plenty of time by the river. A huge thank you to the 21st Century Grant for making it possible for families to participate at no cost.

As we move into our GET Wild Child Summer Camp, we’re excited for even more adventures ahead! You can find our tentative camp schedule on our website, and we’ll also be sharing updates here on social media. Please keep in mind that schedules may change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

This summer is already shaping up to be one to remember, and we can’t wait to continue exploring, learning, and growing together!

WEP works to improve watershed health, river recreation, habitat restoration, and sustainable water resources throughout the Upper San Juan River Basin.

Admission is just $10, and every dollar raised stays local. Even better, all proceeds from the June concert series are pooled together and distributed evenly among all four featured nonprofits, helping maximize the impact across our community.
