Worship Celebration, Sunday 10:30 AM, livestreamed here on our page. Our Mission

The mission of One Faith F

ellowship and of any Bible-based church is to be the representative body of God's Kingdom on earth. Jesus Christ inseparably linked the church to the kingdom of God when, in the first mention of the word “church” in the Bible, He simultaneously mentioned “the Kingdom of Heaven” in Matthew 16:18-19. That makes the church the embassy that embodies the culture of God’s Kingdom and the task force that advances God's Kingdom agenda on earth. Our Purpose - The purpose of the church is fourfold:

(1) Our purpose is to glorify God as Creator, King and Lord through congregational praise and worship (Isaiah 43:7; Acts 2:47; Rev. 4:11; Psalm 24:1-2,7-10). (2) Our purpose is the great commission of sharing the Gospel of the Kingdom by being witnesses of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8). (3) Our purpose is to grow believers into the character of Christ, through Bible learning and teaching (Acts 2:42; 11:25-26; Ephesians 4:11-16). (4) Our purpose is to give ourselves in service to one another and to those in need as helpful expressions of God’s love and our faith (Galatians 5:13; 6:2,9-10; 1 John 3:16-18; James 2:14-17,26).

BIBLE BREAKFAST: HEBREWS 2:9; LORD OVER LIFE; devo by Jack Hayford

"We see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, crowned with glory and honor." Hebrews 2:9

Jesus is Lord over life's question marks -- over uncertainties, over seasons of confusion and disorientation, over ignorance about where I'm headed. All these piled up clouds of anxiety are scattered to the winds by the sweet cry of joy that echoes through the centuries: He is alive! He is risen as He said!

Anyone who can descend into death, conquer hell and the devil, touch bases with earth and earthlings, and then spring heavenward into glorious rule at the right hand of All Power on high deserves my vote of confidence.

A true father is strong and kind,
A steady hand, a prayerful mind.
He leads with with faith and grace,
Bringing his family before God’s face.

Today we honor fathers so dear,
With thankful hearts we declare
Blessings from God as fathers' pay,
Strength, wisdom, joy in every way;
We gladly say Happy Father’s Day!

BIBLE BREAKFAST: JOHN 8:32; FREEDOM THROUGH TRUTH

“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32

Juneteenth reminds us that freedom must not only be declared; it must also be known, received, and lived. Although emancipation had been proclaimed, many remained enslaved because the truth had not yet reached them.

In the same way, Jesus offers spiritual freedom through the truth of His Word. His truth breaks the chains of sin, fear, hatred, deception, and oppression. As we celebrate Juneteenth, let us thank God for freedom while continuing to stand for justice, dignity, and liberty for all.

Prayer: Lord, help us know Your truth, live in Your freedom, and become instruments of justice, healing, and reconciliation. In Jesus name, Amen.

Happy Juneteenth!

BIBLE BREAKFAST: ROMANS 12:1-2, paraphrase by J.B. Phillips (slightly edited)

"With eyes wide open to the mercies of God, I beg you, my brothers and sisters, as an act of intelligent worship, to give Him your bodies, as a living sacrifice, consecrated to Him and acceptable by Him. Don’t let the world around you squeeze you into its own mold, but let God re-mold your minds from within, so that you may prove in practice that the plan of God for you is good, meets all His demands and moves towards the goal of true maturity." Romans 12:1-2

BIBLE BREAKFAST: PSALM 137:4; THE LORD'S SONG; devo by Jack Hayford

"How shall we sing the LORD's song in a foreign land?" Psalm 137:4

How often life's moves and changes put us in a "strange land." But hear the psalmist, for he also understands: How difficult it is to sing the Lord's song in a strange land, when things become "foreign" to our plans.

Disappointing transitions, setbacks, and strange settings can spin our plans around and set our lives askew. Our challenge is to not allow circumstances to block our prayers or silence our praise.

You can be honest and admit that it's just easier to praise in some settings than in others. Then, go ahead and praise the Lord anyway!
