Worship Celebration, Sunday 10:30 AM, livestreamed here on our page. Our Mission

The mission of One Faith F

ellowship and of any Bible-based church is to be the representative body of God's Kingdom on earth. Jesus Christ inseparably linked the church to the kingdom of God when, in the first mention of the word “church” in the Bible, He simultaneously mentioned “the Kingdom of Heaven” in Matthew 16:18-19. That makes the church the embassy that embodies the culture of God’s Kingdom and the task force that advances God's Kingdom agenda on earth. Our Purpose - The purpose of the church is fourfold:

(1) Our purpose is to glorify God as Creator, King and Lord through congregational praise and worship (Isaiah 43:7; Acts 2:47; Rev. 4:11; Psalm 24:1-2,7-10). (2) Our purpose is the great commission of sharing the Gospel of the Kingdom by being witnesses of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8). (3) Our purpose is to grow believers into the character of Christ, through Bible learning and teaching (Acts 2:42; 11:25-26; Ephesians 4:11-16). (4) Our purpose is to give ourselves in service to one another and to those in need as helpful expressions of God’s love and our faith (Galatians 5:13; 6:2,9-10; 1 John 3:16-18; James 2:14-17,26).

BIBLE BREAKFAST: PSALM 29:2; CLOTHED IN CHRIST; devo by Jack Hayford

"Give unto the LORD the glory due to His name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness." Psalm 29:2

From one standpoint, we are exactly right when we feel we're too sinful to stand in the presence of God. But let us remember we worship "in Christ" - in the beauty of His holiness. Through Him we have been cleansed and are able to stand before the holy God.

If we dare to confess that we have been stained with sin, we can also believe with equal boldness that Christ's holiness will clothe us. In the beauty of His holiness - in robes of His righteousness - He enables us to stand high and lifted up before God.

BIBLE BREAKFAST: EPHESIANS 4:1; THE WORTHY WALK; devo by David Jeremiah

"I... beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called." Ephesians 4:1

Did you grow up among ong Christians who said, "Don't drink, smoke, chew, or go with folks who do"? Lots of churches had "lists" of what to avoid and definitions of worldliness that might include things like playing cards, dancing, and shopping on Sundays.

Many churches are more relaxed with their "lists" nowadays, but we mustn't let the pendulum swing too far in the other direction.

As Christians, we are to walk worthy of the calling we have received. That means we should remember we are followers of Jesus and there are some things we are to avoid, some thoughts we should reject, and some habits we ought to change. They aren't healthy for us in body, soul, or testimony. We don't want to violate our calling or misrepresent our Savior. Instead, we should have our Christlike character on full display. It's not a matter of legalism but of true spirituality.

Ask the Lord for wisdom in evaluating your habits and knowing how to walk worthy of the calling you have received.

Grateful Memorial Day! Let's join our hearts of gratitude on this day to remember and honor those who gave their lives in service to our nation. Jesus said, in John 15:13, “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.” We are grateful for their ultimate sacrifice and for the freedom we enjoy because of it. To the families within our One Faith church family whose loved ones died in service, thank you. We honor you, remember with you, and pray God’s comfort and peace over you.

BIBLE BREAKFAST: REVELATION 3:20; KNOCKING AT THE DOOR; devo by Dr. Tony Evans

To Laodicea, Jesus gave one of the most famous invitations in Scripture: “Behold, I stand at the door and knock.” He was speaking to a church that had shut Him out. He was not inside their fellowship. He was outside, asking to come back in.

Picture the Lord of glory knocking on the very church that bears His name. That is tragedy. A congregation can be filled with people, programs and performances yet leave Christ standing outside.

But His grace is amazing. He does not walk away. He knocks. He waits. He promises, “If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and dine with him.” That is fellowship. That is intimacy. That is the heart of the Christian life.

An overcomer keeps the door open. When Christ knocks through conviction, they respond. When He calls for fellowship, they invite Him in. The church may forget Him. The world may reject Him. But the overcomer hears His voice and welcomes His presence. Do not leave the Lord outside. Open the door. Let Him in.

BIBLE BREAKFAST: PSALM 46:1; GOD IN HARD TIMES

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1, NKJV

When sickness, pain, grief, or trouble feels overwhelming, remember that God is not far away. He is our refuge when we feel exposed, our strength when we feel weak, and our present help when we do not know what to do next.

May the Lord cover you with His peace, strengthen your heart, and remind you that you are not suffering alone. We are praying for you and trusting God to be near, faithful, and strong on your behalf.

BIBLE BREAKFAST: Matthew 11:15; LEARNING TO LISTEN; devo by Max Lucado

"He who has ears to hear, let him hear!" Matthew 11:15

I believe we can learn to listen to God if we are equipped with the right tools. The first tool is a regular time and place. Select a slot on your schedule and in a corner of your world, and claim it for God. Take enough time to say what you want and for God to say what He wants.

The second tool is an open Bible. Pray first, asking God to help you understand it. Study the Bible a little at a time. Read until a verse “hits” you. Then meditate on it and write it down.
The third tool is a listening heart. We know we’re listening when what we read in the Bible is what others see in our lives. If you want to be just like Jesus, spend time listening for Him until you receive your lesson for the day, and then apply it.
