Our mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs and services that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all. While often considered a gym, the Y is much more and focuses on Sprit, Mind and Body while weaving our core values of Faith, Respect, Responsibility Caring and Honesty into our programs. Regardless of race, religion, age, income, social status, or other demogra
phics, the Y welcomes all and serves the community as a gathering place and safe haven. The Y currently collaborates with over 20 other organizations and institutions to meet the changing needs of our community. Our youth need a safe place to meet new friends, to learn, to grow and thrive in a world where there are so many obstacles. The YMCA answers that need with WeeCare child watch, summer camp, afterschool care and holiday camps. Additionally, we offer skill specific programming through youth sports and swim lessons. The YMCA serves over 10,000 people annually. With grants and community support, the Y provides opportunities to more than 2,500 members and over $200,000 in direct/indirect assistance through income based membership, program scholarships, and outreach.
