BIBLE BREAKFAST: THE SIN BARRIER BRIDGED; Isaiah 59:1-2; insight by Charles Stanley

Northern California is home to the Golden Gate Bridge, a famous landmark and marvel of human engineering. Stretching across the strait between San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean, it connects two shores that were once separated and provides safe passage across the expanse.

In our spiritual life, faith can also be seen as a type of bridge—one that links us, who were once far from God, to His promises (Isaiah 59:2). This span is foundational to our relationship with the Lord, offering hope on our journey...
..Through faith, we can walk boldly on the path Jesus has laid out for us, safely traversing chasms of danger and doubt.

Whenever you see a bridge, let it serve as a symbol of how faith unites us with the living God and guides us to abundant life in Him. And keep in mind that a regular intake of Scripture reinforces our “bridge,” adding to its strength and stability.

BIBLE BREAKFAST: BLESSINGS ON EARTH, based on Proverbs 10:6, with insight by Jack Hayford

You and I can help decide which of these two things -- blessing or cursing -- happen on earth. We will determine whether God's goodness is released toward specific situations or whether the power of sin and Satan is permitted to prevail.

Prayer is the determining factor.

Since only the light of Calvary's power can dissipate the darkness of the workings of hell, the only people who can reverse the tide of encroaching evil, wherever it rises, are those who pray in Jesus' name.

Pray ALOUD: LORD, May I never be ashamed of You or Your words, but joyfully bear Your reproach, never displease You by unholy or imprudent conduct, never count it a glory if I take it patiently when I'm punished for my fault, never make the multitude my role model, never delay when Your word invites me to advance.

May Your dear Son preserve me from this present evil world, so that its smiles never allure, nor its frowns terrify, nor its vices defile, nor its errors delude me.

May I feel that I am a stranger and a pilgrim on earth, declaring plainly that I seek a country, my title to it becoming daily more clear, my fitness for it more perfect, my foretastes of it more abundant; and whatsoever I do may it be done in the Saviour's name.
