lunch at the Celtic Fox in Topeka to kick-off the Kansas District Optimist Convention. Marlene Natoli and Larry Drbal from Olathe Noon were present.

Massage Therapist Kathy Gamel was our guest at this week’s meeting of the Olathe Noon Optimist Club. Kathy discussed the many physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual benefits of massage therapy.

Be sure to say you are there for the Olathe Noon Optimist Club and 20% of your food purchase will be donated to our club. All proceeds will be used to fund our club’s many programs for young people. The Olathe Noon Optimist Club is a proud supporter of the Olathe Mayor’s Children’s Fund with two club members on the Children’s Fund Board. Each year the Fund raises money to donate to several Olathe organizations that assist area children and families.

Jacob Swisher, Kansas District Optimist Governor-Elect and a member of the Olathe Noon Club, spoke to the group today about the Optimist International Convention which was held in Jacksonville, Florida this summer. Jacob also outlined his plans as governor for next year, including new programs and projects he wishes to champion.

Our celebrity golfer for the 18th Annual Kansas District Optimist Childhood Cancer Golf Tournament was Fox 4 Meteorologist Joe Lauria.Thanks so much,Joe, for providing the lovely weather for the day and playing golf to help raise money to send children with cancer to summer camps.
