In case you missed it, check this out. Thank you, Lowrider, for highlighting Mr. Erazo and our bike club!
Erik Erazo moved from San Francisco to Olathe, Kansas, and started a lowrider bike club at the school. Here’s how it works: every freshman gets a basic bike, takes it apart, and spends four years turning it into a lowrider. The catch? You only take it home when you graduate. Since 2018, every student in the program has graduated, and the idea spread to more than a dozen clubs in other states. Some of the kids even built a bike live on the National Mall for the Smithsonian.
