Thursday, October 8th was a night to remember for OPSF’s Women’s Giving Circle. Our hostesses created a perfect fall evening gathering with a taste of Mexico that included a buffet from KMachos, and a short performance from the student-written and acted Como en Casa from Oregon Trail Middle School during Hispanic heritage month. We listened to three proposals from passionate district educators, collaborated and discussed what tugged at our hearts the most, and voted on which one we thought deserved to be funded with the full $15,000 grant. We awarded all together a total of $30,000. Definitely a good night in Olathe.
