🌿 Help us make the Wilson Center garden more accessible!

We’ve been working on making the garden at the Wilson Center in Orono a welcoming space for the campus and local community, and one thing we’d really love to tackle is the walkway leading into the garden.

As you can see, it needs some work! We’d love to create a safe, accessible path so that people of all ages and abilities can enjoy the garden.

I’m wondering if there are any local individuals or businesses who might be willing to help us make this happen. We’re looking for people with experience in landscaping, construction, hardscaping, or accessibility, as well as anyone who might be able to donate materials, equipment, time, or expertise.

Even a few hours of help or a donation of materials could make a big difference. We’re happy to work with people who have ideas about the best way to approach the project, too!

Our hope is to create a space where people can come spend time outside, connect with nature, and feel welcome. We’d love some community help getting there. 💚

If you or someone you know might be interested in helping, please send us a message or tag them in the comments. And sharing this post helps, too!

Thank you! 🌱
