WESTGATE CARES! Our Foundation proudly invests in our Team Members and our resort communities.

Through our pillars we aim to be a catalyst for positive change in our local communities by partnering with nonprofit organizations that seek to create stability for families in need, provide critical resources to our active military and veterans, and develop workforce readiness programs around the country. Our Foundation is also dedicated to supporting our Team Members during an unforeseen financial crisis when they need assistance the most.

It’s Back to School week in Central Florida! 🍎

Last week, Westgate Resorts’ Flora Mingo surprised students at Ovation Elementary to welcome them to their new school during Meet the Teacher!

Westgate Foundation is proud to partner with The Foundation for Orange County Public Schools by supporting their Kids’ Closet program. This program ensures that students have access to shoes, clothes, and other essential school supplies throughout the year so that students are set up for success.

With a new school year ahead, Westgate Foundation wishes ALL students, teachers, and staff a productive and successful year!💙

This week, Westgate Foundation had the opportunity to volunteer alongside community partners at Nemours Children's Hospital for their Back-to-School event.

We were proud to donate our remaining Back 2 School supplies and help families "shop" for backpacks and other school essentials, ensuring that Nemours' patients and their siblings are ready for the school year ahead.

Thank you to Nemours Children's Health for allowing us to be part of such an impactful day!

We asked you who was making a difference in your community, so we wanted to share someone who is making a difference in ours! 💙✨

Missy is a Westgate Team Member at Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Water Park and a Westgate Foundation Ambassador who has consistently devoted her time to making her community a better place. Just this year alone, Missy has logged 143 volunteer hours at various organizations in and around Gatlinburg, TN.

As we celebrate our 25th anniversary, we are reintroducing the team leading Westgate Foundation into the next chapter of our !

We asked our team a simple question: “What is your legacy?”

This week, our Team Member Support Specialist, Abigail, shares hers: “My legacy is the impact I leave on others through the support I give, the compassion I show, and the stability I help create during life’s most challenging moments.”

Abigail has been with Westgate for 1.5 years and recently joined our Foundation team! She manages our Team Member Crisis Fund and assists Westgate Team Member's in times of unforeseen hardship, when they need help the most.

We’re honored to share that Westgate Resorts and Westgate Foundation were recognized with the 2026 Harris Rosen Philanthropic Award by the International Drive Resort Area Chamber of Commerce , celebrating our commitment to serving Central Florida and the communities we call home.

This recognition belongs to our nearly 9,000 Team Members, generous donors, Board of Directors, and community partners who help make a difference every day. Through Westgate Foundation, our Team Members have volunteered over 6,000 hours, and have helped support local nonprofits and Team Members who are facing unforeseen financial crises.

Thank you to the International Drive Resort Area Chamber of Commerce for this honor and to our Team Members for living the values of our Founder and Chairman Emeritus, David Siegel, every day. Together, we remain committed to creating meaningful impact and supporting those in need in our resort communities.

Westgate Foundation and the Westgate Foundation Board are proud to announce the inaugural recipient of the David A. Siegel Legacy Scholarship, Gabriela Perez!

Created in honor of our founder and Chairman Emeritus, David Siegel, this prestigious scholarship supports dependents of Westgate Team Members who embody the spirit of entrepreneurship: integrity, grit, and enthusiasm! This scholarship will provide up to $40,000 over four consecutive years, with awards of up to $10,000 annually.

Gabriela is the first person in her family to attend college and will study Exercise and Health Science at St. Thomas University. We are excited to support her as she begins this incredible journey.

We would also like to congratulate our runner-up, Gabriel Alicea, who will receive $2,500 annually for the next four years. Gabriel will be pursuing a degree in Business Management at Florida International University this fall.

Congratulations, Gabriela and Gabriel! We look forward to seeing all you accomplish in the years ahead.
