At the Pioneer Center on KidsPeace’s Orchard Hills Campus, girls who have experienced trauma find a safe, supportive environment where healing, growth, and confidence can take root. Today, we’re spotlighting Pioneer Center’s needs through an Amazon Wish List featuring baking supplies and kitchen essentials used in life skills and therapeutic activities. 🍪 🧁

Through baking and cooking, our girls build practical skills, express creativity, strengthen relationships, and experience the sense of accomplishment that comes from creating something of their own. Last week, members of our KidsPeace Organizational Development & Training (OD&T) team had the opportunity to participate in Capital Blue Cross CHIP’s Family & Wellness Community Day in Center Valley.

Hosted at the Capital Blue Cross Connect Store, the event brought together community members for an afternoon of learning, wellness, and connection. Our team enjoyed sharing information about KidsPeace and interacting with children, who especially loved the bubbles, sensory dinosaurs, kinetic sand, and squishy balls at our table!

Opportunities like this allow us to connect with those we serve, build new relationships, and share resources that support health, well-being, and resilience.

A special thank you to our OD&T associates, Tricia and Edris, for representing KidsPeace and helping create a fun, welcoming experience for everyone who stopped by. And a big thank you to Capital Blue Cross for inviting us to be part of such a meaningful event and for bringing the community together for a day focused on wellness, learning, and connection. 💙

After more than 22 years of serving children and families in Georgia, KidsPeace has made the difficult decision to wind down programming at our Bowdon campus and conclude operations in the state by the end of 2026.

This decision comes as state reimbursement rates have not kept pace with the rising costs and increasing complexity of residential mental and behavioral healthcare.

Since opening in 2004, our team in Bowdon has provided hope, help, and healing to more than 1,000 young people across Georgia. We are deeply grateful to our associates, families, referral partners, donors, vendors and the West Georgia community whose support made this impact possible.

As we move through this transition, our priority remains ensuring continuity of care for the young people we serve and supporting our associates with dignity and respect.

To our community in West Georgia, thank you for being part of the KidsPeace Georgia story and the legacy built over the past 22 years. Read more at https://bit.ly/4cYFBGK.

Clear the Clutter… Then Cue the Luau! 🌴☀️🌺

Who says cleaning can’t end with a celebration?! Our KidsPeace Administrative Services team recently rolled up their sleeves for a Clear the Clutter morning, taking some time to clean out, organize and refresh our spaces. And after all that hard work? We traded the clutter for leis and celebrated with a well-deserved summer luau!

The afternoon had all the ingredients for a perfect summer celebration -- barbecue favorites hot off the grill, games, plenty of laughs and a visit from the Kona Ice truck to cool everyone down with a sweet treat.

It was a great opportunity to step away from our desks, spend time together and enjoy a little summer fun! ☀️

National Night Out was a great opportunity to connect with our local community in the Lehigh Valley!

KidsPeace’s Foster Care and Community Programs office in Bethlehem participated in the Upper Saucon Township Police Department's National Night Out, where associates Marissa Galante, Bryan Hoffstetter, and AJ Cordi connected with community members, answered questions, and shared information about the need for foster families throughout the Lehigh Valley and surrounding region.

KidsPeace foster care programs serve children and families across Indiana, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, helping provide safe, supportive homes for children when they need them most. 🩷

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to learn more and be part of the conversation. Together, we can help create brighter futures for children and families in our communities. Visit FosterCare.com to learn more.

Musikfest may be over, but the connections and community spirit are still worth celebrating! 🎶

Being present in the communities we serve is so important to us at KidsPeace, and we were proud to show up, connect and represent our mission at AmericaPlatz at Levitt Pavilion during one of the Lehigh Valley’s favorite traditions, thanks to Air Products!

From meeting so many wonderful people throughout the community to soaking in the music and energy of the festival, we loved every opportunity to share a little KidsPeace spirit at Musikfest. 💙

And a special shoutout to our very own Bob Martin, Director of Communications & Engagement, who took the stage throughout the evening to introduce some of the amazing acts! 🎤👏 Way to represent KidsPeace, Bob!

Thank you, Air Products, for giving our team the opportunity to be part of the fun - and thank you to everyone who stopped by, said hello and learned a little more about KidsPeace and our mission of giving hope, help and healing to children, adults and those who love them. Until next year, Musikfest!

☀️🔥 Summer memories are being made at KidsPeace!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of The Home Depot, children on the KidsPeace Orchard Hills Campus are enjoying cookouts, outdoor games, water activities, and the simple joy of spending time together this summer.

Through a generous grant, The Home Depot provided nine new grills, grill covers, and grilling accessories, helping our residential programs create meaningful moments of connection, celebration, and fun. For some of the children we serve, this summer even marked their first-ever backyard barbecue!

Earlier this month, KidsPeace associates personally delivered thank-you cards from the children we serve to The Home Depot team, sharing their heartfelt appreciation for making these special experiences possible.

Thank you to The Home Depot, for helping create the moments that remind our children they are cared for, valued, and free to simply be kids. ❤️ Read more at https://bit.ly/4z16iEl.

☀️🏀🎨 Play has the power to heal.

At The Hope Center for Youth and Family Crisis in Fuquay-Varina, funded by Alliance and operated by KidsPeace, healing happens in many ways. Sometimes it’s through counseling and compassionate care. Other times, it’s through a basketball, a game of catch, or a piece of sidewalk chalk.

This summer, The Hope Center launched its Fill Our Toy Box fundraiser to collect outdoor toys, games, and activities that help children and adolescents experience the joy of play while supporting their emotional well-being. Every donation helps create opportunities for connection, creativity, confidence, and healing.
