Now this is what we call a home run for healing!

On Wednesday evening, KidsPeace Director of Development, Libbie Ruggiero, had the honor of attending a Lehigh Valley IronPigs game to accept a generous donation from the IronPigs Charities.

Thanks to this incredible support, KidsPeace will be able to create a dedicated play space for our children in residential treatment at our Orchard Hills campus, giving them a safe, welcoming place to play, imagine, and simply be kids. This thoughtfully designed space will feature different activity zones that encourage healing, build resilience, and create moments of joy that every child deserves.

We couldn’t be more grateful to the IronPigs Charities for stepping up to the plate for the children we serve. Thank you for hitting this one out of the park and for all you do to make our local community stronger, one child at a time! 💙🐷

KidsPeace was honored to recently welcome Lehigh County Executive Joshua Siegel and his team to the KidsPeace Orchard Hills Campus for a tour and a meaningful conversation about the growing behavioral and mental health needs of children and families in our community.

During his visit, Executive Siegel learned more about the comprehensive services KidsPeace provides and had the opportunity to meet the dedicated team members who work every day to create hope, healing, and brighter futures for the young people we serve.

We are grateful for leaders who take the time to better understand the challenges facing children and families, and who share our commitment to strengthening access to care throughout the Lehigh Valley.

KidsPeace and Lehigh Valley Zoo are excited to share a truly wild video and a few photos highlighting the incredible partnership between our organizations.

Together, we’ve created meaningful opportunities for both the animals and the children in the care of KidsPeace to connect with nature and learn about wildlife - right at the Donley Therapeutic Education Center on the KidsPeace Orchard Hills campus in Orefield. Through this partnership, live animals come directly to our children, transforming these moments into something far more impactful than a traditional zoo visit.

These interactive experiences help special animals acclimate to new environments while creating a powerful, shared connection. As the animals build comfort and confidence, so do our children, who gain hands-on insight into animal care, behaviors, and unique needs, all while experiencing the simple joys of being a child during their healing journeys.

This partnership is a powerful example of how collaboration can inspire learning, compassion, confidence, and growth - benefiting both the children we serve and the animals that depend on thoughtful care.

🌬️💨 The wind was blowing, the dodgeballs were flying, and the competition was fierce yesterday at our 3rd Annual KidsPeace Dodgeball Tournament, but it was an incredible success!

Teams ducked, dipped, dove, and dodged their way through an action-packed day, all in support of the children and families served at KidsPeace Orchard Hills. While tensions may have been high on the court, the spirit of teamwork, community, and fun won the day.

Thanks to the generosity of our participants, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters, we raised an amazing $40,000 to support programs and services for the children in our care.

We’re thrilled to welcome Sydney Kay and the team from WFMZ to KidsPeace Orchard Hills this morning as we gear up for our third annual Dodgeball Tournament!

Today, competitors will dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge — all while raising critical funds to support the children in our care at KidsPeace.

Tomorrow may be our third annual Dodgeball Tournament at KidsPeace Orchard Hills, but today we’re taking a little trip back to last month for a Throwback Thursday.

We gathered for A Night in Tuscany with BSI Corporate Benefits and Sandra Zotti - a fantastic evening filled with great company, delicious touches of Italy, and the chance to share the KidsPeace mission with both new and longtime friends.

KidsPeace was honored to welcome the Lehigh Valley Zoo to our National Board of Directors Meeting yesterday, along with a very special guest, Poppy the Opossum!

Through our collaboration, the Zoo has been bringing animals to our Orchard Hills Campus in Orefield to help acclimate them to people. What continues to inspire us is how deeply our students are benefiting in return.

Their reactions have been incredible -- wide eyes, curiosity, laughter, and moments of pure joy. For many of our children, these encounters spark a sense of wonder and connection that stays with them long after the visit ends.

It was just as meaningful to see our Board members step into that same spirit, setting aside the agenda to connect, smile, and even channel their inner child.

Moments like these remind us that growth and healing can happen in unexpected ways and that sometimes, the smallest encounters leave the biggest footprints.

A special thank you to our friends at the Lehigh Valley Zoo for all they do to educate and connect our community with nature, empowering people to protect wildlife. 🐾
