In what has become a cherished annual fall tradition, KidsPeace recently received over 70 beautiful handmade quilts from Project Comfort, a ministry of St. James Lutheran Church in Coopersburg, PA.

The quilts were delivered by KidsPeace Board Member Naomi Yergey alongside Amanda, representing Project Comfort. Together, they helped ensure these meaningful gifts will reach the children and families who can benefit most from them.

Each quilt is lovingly crafted by volunteers who dedicate their time and talents to creating something truly meaningful for the young people and families we serve. These handmade gifts will benefit youth and families in our PA Foster Care Programs, Community Programs, and Residential Program, providing warmth, comfort, and a tangible reminder that they are supported by a caring community.

For many children and adolescents facing challenges, a handmade quilt offers more than physical comfort. It can provide a sense of security, belonging, and hope during difficult times. We are deeply grateful to the dedicated volunteers of Project Comfort for their continued generosity and compassion, and to Naomi and Amanda for helping connect this incredible act of kindness with the youth and families we serve.

Our KidsPeace Maine team was proud to participate in the NAMI Maine Walk & Family Fun Festival, joining community members from across the state in support of mental health awareness and wellness.

This meaningful event brings people together to raise awareness, foster hope, strengthen community connections, and help ensure more Mainers have access to the support they need. We were honored to walk alongside so many passionate advocates and organizations dedicated to making a difference.

At KidsPeace, we believe in the power of connection, and we’re grateful to support events that inspire hope, encourage understanding, and remind us that no one has to face mental health challenges alone. 💛

All we do is Fore the Kids we serve at KidsPeace! 🏌️‍♂️

Last week, we celebrated and hosted our 41st Annual KidsPeace Golf Classic at Woodstone Country Club in Danielsville. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors, golfers, volunteers, and supporters, $80,000 was raised to support KidsPeace programs and services throughout the Lehigh Valley.

🌟 Meet KidsPeace Homecoming Courtier Murtaza Safderali Jaffer 🌟

For Murtaza, community is more than a place. It’s something worth investing in, supporting, and strengthening every day. As a Partner at EBC Printing & Signs, he has built a career centered on relationships, service, and helping local businesses and organizations make a lasting impact throughout the Lehigh Valley.

His passion for giving back extends far beyond the workplace. Murtaza serves on the boards of Grace Montessori School, Via of the Lehigh Valley, and the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce Executive Board, among other civic organizations. He believes that when people come together to support one another, amazing things happen.

At home, Murtaza wears two of his favorite titles: husband to a teacher and dad to a middle school daughter. These roles have deepened his appreciation for education and the importance of helping young people learn, grow, and succeed.

That’s why the KidsPeace mission resonates so strongly with him and why he said YES to joining our Homecoming Court! Murtaza believes every child deserves hope, encouragement, and the opportunity to reach their full potential.

For Ashley, community isn’t just something to support. It’s something to build, strengthen, and champion every day! As an Employer Partner Relationship Manager at First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union, Ashley brings more than a decade of experience in finance and business development, creating meaningful partnerships that help individuals, businesses, and communities thrive.

Originally from Kauai, Hawaii, Ashley has proudly called the Lehigh Valley home for six years. A devoted mother of three, she balances her career with a heartfelt commitment to giving back.

Ashley serves on the Board of Directors for the Lehigh Conference of Churches, where she chairs the Development Committee, and is Co-Chair of Golf4Cancer Lehigh Valley. She also supports the Women’s Business Council and Boys & Girls Club of Allentown. Her dedication to service earned her recognition as a 2023 Lehigh Valley Woman of Influence!

Chris is the Corporate Sales Manager for Lehigh Valley-based properties within TKo Hospitality, overseeing sales and business development efforts for Hyatt Place, Hyatt House, Aster Event Center, Glasbern Inn, Twin Lakes Country Club, and Moselem Springs Golf Club. With more than 16 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Chris has built a reputation for fostering meaningful relationships, driving revenue growth, and creating exceptional guest experiences across a diverse portfolio of hotels, event venues, and golf destinations.

Beyond his professional role, Chris is deeply committed to serving our community. He currently serves as Board President of the Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley and is a board member of both the Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association and the Western Lehigh Chamber of Commerce. Through his leadership and volunteer service, Chris helps support initiatives that strengthen the hospitality industry and improve the lives of individuals and families throughout our region.

🌟 Meet KidsPeace Homecoming Courtier Madison Tuskes 🌟

Madison is the Marketing Manager at Tuskes Homes, a fourth-generation, family-owned homebuilder that has been serving the Lehigh Valley and Northeastern Pennsylvania since 1969. Her role spans social media, digital advertising, website management, and helping coordinate the charitable giving and community partnerships that Tuskes proudly supports throughout our region.

Madison’s passion for community impact began during her time at Penn State, where she spent four years involved with THON and had the honor of dancing in her senior year. Through those efforts, she helped raise more than $10,000 for families affected by pediatric cancer. Those experiences showed her just how powerful a community can be when people come together to support children and families in need.

That same spirit of compassion, generosity, and showing up for kids is what Madison sees at KidsPeace, and why celebrating 25 years of the Donley Therapeutic Education Center is so meaningful to her.
