Dear Orefield Community,

PTO here. We are writing to share an update regarding our recent Day of Awesomeness and the Technicolor Turkey Trot, as well as to express my deepest gratitude to all of you.

As many of you know, executing large-scale school events requires navigating a variety of moving parts and unexpected logistical changes. Our initial plan was to host the Technicolor Turkey Trot on the school track. However, due to updated district guidelines we were informed that the track was no longer available for this event, and ultimately, that the traditional "Turkey Trot" portion of the day could not take place as originally envisioned.

Faced with these changes, our team immediately shifted gears. We focused on what we could do, working diligently to adapt the schedule and activities so that our students could still enjoy a
memorable experience within the parameters we were given.

While the day may have looked a bit different than initially promised, its success is a direct result of the incredible community surrounding our students. The Day of Awesomeness went off still
having lots of Bounce Houses, inflatables and fun. Followed by Kona and an awesome DJ! Rest assured that 100% of your donations have gone to enriching your students Orefield experience.

We understand there is some frustration regarding the t-shirt sales. The PTO did not organize that project. However, we would be happy to connect you to the responsible party if you have
any questions.

We are learning as we go and next year the Day of Awesomeness will be even better!!

Testing season is officially done, and our kids earned every bit of this. Huge thanks to everyone who helped make today’s Post-Test Palooza happen!

Volunteers needed! We need volunteers to help during the ARP auction to record prizes, fill out bid number and price, hold up prizes, and pass the prizes across the stage. The Regular Auction will take place Friday, May 29th and the Learning Support Auction will be on Thursday, May 21st.

Staff Appreciation Week at OMS is coming to a close, and we just have to say – what an incredible group of people we get to celebrate!

To every teacher, counselor, office staff member, custodian, aide and everyone in between: thank you. You show up every single day for our kids, and it doesn’t go unnoticed.

A huge thank you also to everyone who donated, dropped off goodies, volunteered their time, or helped make this week extra special.
