The 2nd Annual Strophy Foundation Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament is coming up Saturday, October 24, at Columbia Hall in Lacey.

Join us for an evening of friendly competition, heavy appetizers, prizes, a silent auction, 50/50 raffle and plenty of fun—all benefiting Thurston County’s Therapeutic Courts.

Players are $100 in advance, and non-players are just $20.

Board Spotlight: Meet Steve!

Steve is a Community Corrections Officer with the Washington State Department of Corrections and a 2010 graduate of Lewis County Drug Court.

His connection to the Strophy Foundation is rooted in his own lived experience. Having walked the path of recovery himself, Steve understands both the challenges people face and the difference the right support and opportunities can make.

That experience has made him a strong believer in the power of therapeutic courts. Steve knows firsthand that they work.

Today, he is passionate about helping others facing similar challenges and supporting programs that give people the resources, encouragement and opportunity they need to move forward and build a different future.

We’re grateful to have Steve’s perspective, experience and commitment on the Strophy Foundation Board. 💙

We are incredibly proud to congratulate Lexi Boyd on her graduation from THRIVE (Safe Babies Court)!

Lexi shared that she grew up as part of the foster care system, and that experience became one of her greatest motivations for completing the THRIVE program. Her goal was deeply personal: to give her two children opportunities, stability, and a childhood she didn’t have growing up.

Over four years, Lexi worked through challenges, celebrated successes, and stayed committed to creating a different future for herself and her children. Her graduation reflects her perseverance, growth, and dedication to her family.

Judge Thomas presided over the graduation ceremony, recognizing this important milestone and all the hard work it took to reach it.

Lexi, congratulations on this incredible accomplishment! Your story is a beautiful reminder that our past may shape us, but it does not have to define the future we create for ourselves or our children.

Each serves people facing different circumstances, but they share something important: a belief that accountability, treatment and meaningful support can create a path forward.
