Our September General Body Meeting is coming up, and we want YOU in the room!

This month, our Advocacy & Civic Engagement Committee, led by Shaterica Neal and Cordeija Horne, will lead an important conversation around our Reclaim Your Vote initiative and how we can work together to educate, engage, and mobilize our community ahead of the upcoming election. 🗳️

Thank you to everyone who joined us Saturday as we celebrated National Day of Wellness with our theme, “Connecting Through Nature!” 🌿🥾💚

From hitting the trails and enjoying the outdoors to taking time for reflection, fellowship, and wellness, the day was all about stepping away from the everyday and reconnecting — with nature, with ourselves, and with one another.

A special thank you to our Columbia Urban League Young Professionals Community Service Committee for planning and bringing this experience to life. We also loved having our Project Ready students join us and be part of a day centered on wellness, connection, and community.

Thank you to every member and student who showed up, participated, and made the day memorable. Sometimes wellness starts with simply getting outside, moving your body, clearing your mind, and enjoying the journey together.

A huge thank you to our featured leaders, Martha Scott Smith and James T. McLawhorn, Jr., for joining the Columbia Urban League Young Professionals for our General Body Meeting and sharing their insight, wisdom, and vision with us.

We also want to thank every member and guests who came out and helped make the conversation so engaging.

The discussion sparked meaningful ideas, created stronger alignment, and reinforced the important role young professionals play in the future of the Columbia Urban League movement and our community.
