This weekend, Salvationists from around the USA Eastern Territory will gather together for a General's Congress.

We are honored to welcome our international leaders to the Eastern Territory. General Lyndon Buckingham, the 22nd General of The Salvation Army, leads our global movement across 134 countries. Alongside him, Commissioner Bronwyn Buckingham, World President of Women’s Ministries, brings a deep passion for spiritual life and ministry. Having served as officers since 1990, their leadership continues to shape the future of The Salvation Army around the world.

It was wonderful to take a break from packing and cleaning this morning to have some food and fellowship at Good Times of Olean with our congregation from The Salvation Army. All those pictured and many others we've met along the way have helped make Olean feel like home these past 5 years, especially as our children have grown so much. We have been affected by this community in a lasting way - thank you!

Join us at 10:30am for Pentecost Sunday!

Pentecost marks the ‘birthday’ of the Church.

Seven weeks after celebrating Jesus’ resurrection at Easter, we remember a particular gathering of his followers.

Extraordinary things happened – strong winds, bright flames and the ability to speak in languages they’d never spoken before! They were filled with the Holy Spirit, God’s presence with us.

This moment changed everything. Empowered in new ways, they shared the story of Jesus with others and thousands of people made the decision to join them.

They shared together and helped people in need as part of a loving community. What started that day became what we know today as church.

Today, Christians around the world celebrate the moment the Church began. Happy birthday!

National Donut Day this year is on June 5th. That's only TWO WEEKS from today!
Plan ahead to buy your donuts from Olean Food Barn, whose bakery will donate $1 per dozen to The Salvation Army.

Did you know? National Donut Day was created to honor The Salvation Army's "donut lassies" who served donuts to troops on the frontlines in World War I.
