Behind every session is a story: a crisis met with steady support the same day it happened. A safety plan built together with a family. A teen connected to a higher level of care exactly when they needed it. A caregiver guided through a hard conversation they didnā€™t know how to start.

ROAR is The CARE Centerā€™s child-based education program for children ages 4ā€“8. Through an interactive lesson, children learn how to protect themselves from abuse and are empowered to stand up against it.

For adults, Recognizing & Reporting Child Abuse & Neglect teaches the signs, symptoms, and risk factors of abuse, as well as how to respond to and safely report suspected abuse. Learn more about ROAR and Recognizing & Reporting at The CARE Centerā€™s website!

The CARE Center is Oklahoma Countyā€™s only child advocacy center, and our forensic interview process provides children with a safe, child-centered, trauma-informed setting to share what happened in their own words.

Together with our partners, we provide brave children and their families with wrap-around victim and advocacy services. Our goal is to help children find their voices, be heard, and take the first steps toward healing. šŸ§”
