Summer break calls for an EXEC SPOTLIGHT! Meet our treasurer, Makenzie!☀️

Makenzie is from Ponca City, Oklahoma. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Biology! She chose dentistry because the detail-oriented hand skills always caught her interest. She also loves being able to build relationships with her patients.

When she’s not studying, you can find her playing
with her golden retriever and practicing needlepoint!!

We had an amazing time welcoming aspiring dental students, sharing our experiences, and showcasing what makes our school so special. Thank you to everyone who attended and to all of our volunteers for making this event possible!

It’s time for ANOTHER Exec spotlight!!!! Meet our wonderful secretary, Austin!🙌🏻

Austin is from Denver, Colorado and attended the University of Oklahoma where he graduated from the Price College of Business with a degree in Healthcare Business. Austin
chose to pursue dentistry due to his interest in healthcare and having a meaningful impact on people’s
lives. He chose to be a member of ASDA during his time in dental school due to his appreciation and enjoyment for helping out pre-dentals and being a mentor for others. In his free time, he loves to golf and is a hugeeee OU football fan!!

We had the opportunity to meet with ADA President Dr. Richard Rosato over lunch last Friday! We’re incredibly grateful that he took the time to speak with us about our chapter, our school, and the future of organized dentistry. Thank you, Dr. Rosato, for your leadership, encouragement, and for investing in our students! 🦷💙

Continuing our exec spotlights with our wonderful Vice President!! Meet Sammi!⭐️

Samantha (Sammi) grew up in Oklahoma City, and attended the University of Kansas for undergrad- rock
chalk! At KU, she earned her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry while staying involved in research,
student leadership, and her sorority. Throughout those experiences, she became more and more excited
about her future career in dentistry because it offers the perfect blend of science, artistry, and patient
care. She says: “Guys- it’s actually the best profession ever!!”
Even before starting dental school, she knew she wanted to be involved with ASDA. Sammi is so excited to help
create meaningful experiences for her classmates, plan memorable events, advocate for students,
and continue developing as a future dental professional through her leadership role.
When she’s not studying, she enjoy being active, going camping, exploring local coffee shops, and hosting
Catan nights with her friends. If you’re ever looking for a great coffee or matcha rec, she’s your girl!

Our FIRST Exec spotlight goes to our fearless leader and President, Abigail!❣️

Abigail is from Oklahoma City and serves as this year’s Oklahoma ASDA Chapter President. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma, where she was actively involved in leadership, service, and community outreach. These experiences strengthened her interest in dentistry and helped her grow both personally and professionally, shaping her into the person she is today.

When she’s not in class or studying, Abigail enjoys going for runs, taking Pilates classes, and celebrating life’s big moments with friends and family. She also loves watching OU football and cheering on the OKC Thunder. Above all, Abigail values spending quality time with the people she cares about and appreciates opportunities to connect with her community both inside and outside of dentistry.
