It’s a chance to see what’s new, ask questions directly from the companies building the technology, and compare solutions in person before bringing ideas back to your agency.

This year we’ll also be digging into 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐲 — 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐭 𝐁𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐕𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞, looking beyond simply flying the aircraft and focusing on how professional UAS pilots communicate, make decisions, integrate with ground personnel, and perform when the pressure is on.

The LEDA Flight Skills Proctor Course will also be held Monday, September 28, immediately before the conference.

Whether you’re building a new program, leading an established team, or flying missions every week, there will be something in St. Louis you can take back and put to work.

When your drone is overhead and you key the radio, what do you want ground personnel to immediately know?

We’ll work through:

• Communicating clearly and confidently under pressure
• Eliminating filler words and unnecessary commentary
• Using proper terminology
• Creating intentional pauses without sounding hesitant
• Avoiding preventable radio overlap
• Knowing what information matters—and when to transmit it
• Building the judgment, composure, and presence others rely on overhead

Through guided discussion, scenario-based practice, and hands-on workbook exercises, attendees will begin defining and strengthening their own Operational ID.
