Today our office wanted to give a shout out to this year’s Utah Outdoor Summit - Social Investment Award winner, Chris Haramoto from . The Social Investment Award goes to businesses, individuals, or other organizations focused on giving back to people, humanitarian efforts and doing good in their communities. As park manager of East Canyon State Park, Chris has done just that. Through his constant efforts at removing barriers to visitors at the park, whether they be physical, economic, or cultural, he has made this space a welcoming and accessible resource for all, and is so worthy of this recognition! We thank him for his continued support of an elevated outdoors!

Our Division is constantly at work looking for new ways to improve park amenities. While large projects like new campgrounds and parking lots are great, it’s also important for these smaller projects to continue as they greatly help to alleviate pressure and crowding from other facilities in popular areas.
