Are you getting cataract surgery soon? Be sure to ask questions about the type of surgery and lenses used as some are covered and some you will be responsible for paying. Medicare covers a conventional intraoperative lens (IOL) for distance issues done with a scalpel. Medicare doesn't cover specialty IOLs for astigmatism or refraction errors, or laser-assisted surgery.

For people with HIV, preventing the flu is especially important because there could be a higher risk for serious flu-related complications. Talk to your healthcare provider about your flu shot and other steps you can take to stay healthy.
