💙 Happy Father’s Day and Heartfelt Gratitude to Our Father of the Year, Deacon Emmanuel Tsarnas! 💙

This Father’s Day, we are especially blessed to honor a man whose life has been defined by faith, family, humility, and unwavering service to Christ and His Church.

For so many years, Deacon Emmanuel “Manny” Tsarnas has faithfully served the St. George Greek Orthodox Church community with a servant’s heart—offering his time, talents, wisdom, and love to countless ministries and parishioners. From mentoring youth and supporting our clergy to serving at the Holy Altar and strengthening our parish family, his impact will be felt for generations to come.

As we celebrate fathers everywhere today, we are proud to recognize Deacon Manny as our Father of the Year and thank him for being a shining example of Christian leadership, devotion, and compassion.
As he and Diakonissa Josephine begin an exciting new chapter in Florida, we send them our deepest gratitude, love, and prayers. Though they may be leaving St. George, they will always remain part of our parish family.

May God bless Deacon Manny, Diakonissa Josephine, and their entire family with health, joy, and continued strength as they continue their ministry and service to the Church.

Thank you, Deacon Manny, for your many years of faithful service, your steadfast witness, and your generous heart.

“Rise up and build.” – Nehemiah 2:18

As we embrace the blessings of this season, the Saint George Stewardship Ministry extends heartfelt gratitude to every member of our parish family who gives so generously of their time, talents, and treasures.

Your faithful stewardship strengthens our church, supports our ministries, and reflects Christ’s love in action. Whether you serve quietly behind the scenes or in visible roles, your dedication helps build up the Body of Christ.

If you’ve been wondering how you can become more involved, consider this your invitation. There is a place for everyone at Saint George, and every gift—big or small—can make a meaningful difference.

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
— 1 Peter 4:10

Together, let us continue to grow in faith, service, and community. 💙☦️

With gratitude,
The Saint George Stewardship Committee

✨ “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles.”
— Isaiah 40:31 🕊️

In a world that urges us to rush, God invites us to trust. When we place our hope in Him, He renews our weary hearts, strengthens our spirits, and lifts us above life’s trials with His grace.

May this verse be a reminder that no matter what you are facing today, the Lord is working in His perfect time. Keep the faith, remain steadfast in prayer, and let His peace carry you forward.

May God bless you and your family today and always. ☦️💙

🕯️ A Candle, A Prayer, A Quiet Moment with God ☦️

In the stillness of the church, each candle represents a prayer lifted with faith, hope, and love. Whether offered in thanksgiving, remembrance, or petition, the light of these candles reminds us that Christ is the Light of the world and that no prayer goes unheard.

As you go about your day, take a moment to pause, pray, and place your trust in the Lord. May His light guide your path and bring peace to your heart.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” — Psalm 119:105

May the prayers of all the faithful rise like incense before God. 🕯️💙

🎶✨ Youth Spotlight: Congratulations to GOYAN Niko Zavolas! ✨🎶

At St. George Greek Orthodox Church, we are blessed with so many talented young people who generously share their gifts in service to our parish and our heritage. Today, we are proud to recognize one of them—GOYAN Niko Zavolas!

Many saw Niko performing with our dance groups during this year’s Jersey Shore Greek Festival, but what they may not have seen was the dedication he showed behind the scenes. For weeks leading up to the festival, Niko volunteered his time and talent by attending the Pitsirikia Dance Group practices to play the Lyra for Antipatitis, a traditional dance from the beautiful island of Karpathos.

Niko performed live during all four Pitsirikia festival performances, adding an authentic and unforgettable touch to each one. His commitment not only showcased his remarkable musical ability but also helped preserve and pass on the rich traditions of our Greek culture to the next generation.

We are incredibly proud of Niko for using his God-given talents to serve others and keep our cherished heritage alive through music.

Please join us in congratulating Niko on a job exceptionally well done.
