Thank you to everyone who was able to join us and help the kids to keep putting bait on and keep releasing the fish. It was a full team effort with the kids catching a fish every 30 seconds!

But also, oops I forgot to take pictures at last nights fishing derby! Here’s the bait instead that we hunted the night before (with worm charming, I’ll add details in the comments)

Our Webelows den got a re-do of their favorite meeting tonight. Taking apart electronics to see how they are made!

Last year we took apart an old PC tower, this year was a broken TV and a VCR.

While it looks like we’re just turning trash into smaller pieces of trash, we hope this might show them why we are gentle with electronics, and if something breaks, maybe it can be fixed.

Thank you to the Ocean Township Little League at C**t Field for letting our Bear and Webelows dens host a flag ceremony to raise their brand new flag tonight.

From one volunteer run organization to another; we have great respect for the amount of labor that goes into every successful baseball season for the hundreds of children involved. Thank you to the dozens of OTLL volunteers that help our kids learn about good sportsmanship and how to be part of a team.

A few of our older dens are meeting at C**t Field again tonight at 6:30 to host a flag retirement ceremony at the flagpole and work on a service project. All are welcome.

This week our pack meeting had a guest lecturer, Rutgers master gardener Art, to teach us about composting.

The kids had a great time with their hands on lesson, making their very own fancy dirt to take home. Followed by a worms in dirt snack (pudding, cookie crumbs, and gummy worms). 🪱 🎩
