INTRODUCTION:
The Ocean City PTA is a very dynamic, involved group of volunteers, dedicated to enhancing student education,
advocating for children and serving the Ocean City School District and the Ocean City Community. Anyone
can join the PTA - teachers, moms, dads, grandparents, guardians, aunts, uncles, & etc. - ALL ARE WELCOME!! The Executive Board has been working all summer to plan new and
exciting events for the 2021-2022 school year. Therefore, please spread the
word and share the site with families and friends. MESSAGE FROM THE NEW OC PTA PRESIDENT: Jocelyn Palaganas
Thank you for electing me as the next OC PTA President. I believe strongly in working very closely as a family, as a school,
and as a community. We can make a difference in our children's lives
by involving ourselves in their everyday education and activities. Research has shown that parent/teacher involvement in children's lives:
- earn better grades
- score higher on tests
- have better social skills
- show improved behavior
- show more positive attitude toward school/family
- graduate and continue their education on a higher level. Please be a part of my campaign in "Together Making a Difference". This will not be a success without your help, love, dedication,
and support in making it become an accomplishment to be proud of. I welcome
and appreciate any ideas regarding your children's
current and future endeavors. My Executive Board and I are
committed to make a difference in your children's lives. Hopefully, I will

We serve, in conjunction with the National & State PTA, as a forum in which parents and teachers can discuss ways "...to promote quality education, strive to expand the arts, encourage community involvement,
and work for a healthy environment." We promote the welfare of children and our community in the hopes of raising the standards of home life. We strive to bring into closer relation the home and the schools, so that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of our children and youth. We derive our strength from members who represent a diversity of cultures, a variety of religious and political beliefs, and many ethnic backgrounds. We support and sponsor, in collaboration with the Ocean City School Faculty and the general public, curriculum-based programs, cultural arts performances and many family social events. OUR GOAL:
Our goal is to encourage parent involvement, increase PTA membership through families and teachers, and improve community awareness
of the wonderful programs and successes taking place in our schools. Officers
