We are doubly blessed to celebrate two very special birthdays today! 🎂🎉

Amarilis and Papo are indispensable leaders at the Mario Antonio Almonte Community Center, and we are so grateful for all they do to serve, lead, and bless their community.

This week as we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week here in the USA, we want to extend that appreciation to the Dominican Republic! Our hearts are especially grateful for the incredible teachers at the Mario Antonio Almonte Community Center in Los Cocos!

Your love, dedication, and passion for teaching English are such a beautiful blessing to your students and the entire community. You are making a lasting impact in ways that go far beyond the classroom.

As they say in Los Cocos, “¡La unión hace la fuerza!” — unity makes us strong! ❤️🇩🇴🇺🇸💙

And wow… did we see that truth in action at the Caribbean Celebration of Gratitude and Growth! From cooking to serving to welcoming guests, this amazing team poured their hearts into making it a joyful (and delicious!) fiesta.

Teamwork really does make the dream work! Thank you to everyone who served and to all who came out to support the community of Los Cocos. We are so thankful!

We squeezed 100 limes today so Nina could prepare her famous jugo de limón! 🍋‍🟩

This refreshing drink is the perfect companion to a delicious plate of “La bandera dominicana.” 🇩🇴 Rice, beans, meat… and a splash of Nina’s legendary lime juice? Yes, please!

Snow + Dominican host moms seeing it for the FIRST time = pure JOY! ❄️❤️

Our beloved moms from Los Cocos arrived safely today and were absolutely thrilled to see snow falling for the first time in their lives. The squeals and laughter said it all!

Now they’re ready to bring that same joy — and their incredible cooking — to this Saturday’s Caribbean Celebration of Gratitude and Growth.
