Members of the Ocean City Police Department proudly participated in today’s 2026 Law Enforcement Torch Run, carrying the Flame of Hope in support of the athletes of Special Olympics New Jersey.

Our officers joined fellow law enforcement agencies from throughout Cape May County and across New Jersey in this annual tradition that celebrates courage, determination, and inclusion.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support this amazing cause. Together, we continue to make a difference and help create opportunities for Special Olympics athletes to shine. ✨

This weeks L.E.A.D. (Law Enforcement Against Drugs & Violence) conference in Atlantic City is off and running. ⁣

Officers from all over the area are gathered to better learn how to steer our youth towards better decision making and socialization without the use of substances or conflict. ⁣

Yesterday, members of the UAS (or Drone) unit headed west to Allentown, Pennsylvania for training. ⁣
⁣
Our officers joined the Pennsylvania chapter for a day of classroom and hands on skills practice to further hone their skills in the air. A huge thank you for LEDA PA for putting on such a great event. We look forward to coming back in the future!

Captain Walsh, Captain Mazzuca, Patrolman Ogule, Patrolman Muller, and Lieutenant Donohue have begun their trip to Washington D.C. honoring Police Officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Over the past few days, riders from all over the country have been making their way to the Capitol via bicycle, motorcycle, and vehicle for Police Week. ⁣
⁣⁣
Lieutenant Donohue provided a clear path along with Motorcycle Units from multiple agencies ensuring a safe trip for all of the involved riders. Great work everyone. Your support for the affected families, departments, and municipalities does not go unnoticed and we are proud of each of your efforts.
