The Salvadoran government designated October as “Play Month” for all schools and our staff isn’t going to make it as fun as possible?! No way! Superheroes, dream job costumes, Kindergartners disguised as the Earth (oh my!) - we tell them, but why don’t you go ahead and give our staff a little encouragement for how amazing they have been doing, working so hard for our kids?

El gobierno salvadoreño designó octubre como el «Mes del Juego» en todas las escuelas, ¡y nuestro personal no iba a dejar pasar la oportunidad de hacerlo lo más divertido posible! ¡Por supuesto que sí! Superhéroes, disfraces de profesiones soñadas, niños de kínder vestidos de la Tierra (¡qué maravilla!)... ¿por qué no aprovechan para darle un poco de ánimo a nuestro equipo y reconocer lo increíble que lo han hecho, esforzándose tanto por nuestros niños?

Nothing fancy, we just want to bless you with a prayer for healing according to how Jesús said to pray – we have compassion on Any, who are suffering because Jesus has that compassion, and it always moved him to heal people’s situations. If you or someone you know is suffering, would you give us the honor of partnering with your faith today? We want to see you totally made well! Sometimes, we may just need to get in the right position to receive.

“Out of the mouths of babes”! We’re thrilled about our first day at our own school building and the smiles it will bring, from courts to classes, but before that comes building it—and before building comes breaking ground! Thank God some big tasks are now done, like having the plans drawn and the land acquired being built ✅ ✅

On to the next step in the dream!

This Impact Night in 2 days, Friday Oct 23rd, will be REALLY fun as we get to share the vision God’s given us of this major step toward a permanent school. In a land that’s endured floods, volcanoes, and other upheavals, this school can be a rock that provides joy for the generations yet to come—help us invest in them what matters, what’s LASTING.

Every mom: “Can I trust my child with these people?”

No one has ever been safer with children than Jesus, and as a Christian organization, we pay the price to make sure we only have staff who are safe with children. Our own school in El Salvador would mean more staff who bear the heart of Jesus, who never rejected and was always completely safe and appropriate with children.

Over the last 2 months you have heard names we love like Katya, Abigail, Abner, Esmeralda, Rogelio, & Elisa— names that represent stewarding the heart of a child as Jesus would. What if we had the capacity to increase our team and their ability to see each child through the finish line? What if a team of trustworthy individuals could make sure each child went from Pre-K through University?

A Mentor Leaders school IS that reality – would you join that fight so that every child would finish well?

El Salvador has captured our hearts. Through our partnership with the local church, God has transformed countless lives through Christian education, daily nourishment, and hope. Yet unlike every other country where we serve, El Salvador still doesn’t have a permanent school to call home.

No one talks about what we hoped for—that the next generation can now access—perhaps Moses dreamed of Joshua sitting under the shade of an apple tree in the Promised Land. But this is just like now: a GODLY woman like Heidy raising an amazing son like Juan (one of our kindest children & one of the the most dedicated families), who dreams of being a doctor—& you know the best part?
With an equipped school built, HE CAN DO IT.

What dreams will you enable? What destinies will you help fulfill in God’s plan for those who can use this groundbreaking? What action will you take for others?

In 3 days, we share vision, a heart for a feature that Jesus paid for where impossibility is just one more obstacle God will bring us through. God has seen the future & paid for the plan – now He asks for partners for his Kingdom, so let’s ask ourselves – what part can I play?
