Class of 2001: The Cameron family has posted updates on their blog site - please visit the web page in our previous post below.

Coach Cameron had a successful surgery and is home with family. He has a long road of recovery ahead. Mrs.Cameron's memorial service will take place next Thursday (Sept 27) in KC. Please continue to keep the family in your thoughts and prayers during this extremely difficult time.

Many of us have been blessed by the Cameron family through their coaching, teaching, and friendships with the kids. We are working on collecting donations to contribute to a memorial or floral arrangement for the family, on behalf of Class of 2001. Class of 2001:

As many of you have heard, the Cameron family suffered a tragedy this past weekend. Lifting up our classmate Aubrey in prayer, as well as her family.

Several of us had Aubrey's mom, Mrs. Cameron, as a first grade teacher at Union Valley, and were also led by her dad, Mr. Cameron, as PHMS assistant principal and BHS boys basketball coach.

The entire family had a huge impact on the Buhler community and we grieve alongside with them at the loss of Susan.

Please keep the Cameron family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. We're also working on ways to contribute to a memorial once those plans are determined - please stay tuned!

What a fun weekend reuniting with our great class of 2001! Special thanks to everyone able to make some or all of our 20th reunion weekend events. We know it's a busy time, yet despite a pandemic and pushing it back to the fall (due to the unknowns of the pandemic), we had a great time.

We missed our classmates who weren't able to attend and are hopeful to reunite for a 25th gathering in a few years. Why wait a decade?!?

It's almost here - Reunion Weekend! Here are all of the activities going on this weekend. We are looking forward to seeing those who can join us, for whatever you can join us for to celebrate 20 years of being BHS grads!

And...if you can't make it and haven't been receiving emails, could you please PM us your email contact information? We realize social media isn't the catch-all and want to cover our bases with communication. If you have classmates' emails or contact info, please share that as well. We're building our database and constantly updating it for future gatherings.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 1:
5:30 p.m.: Tailgate Dinner - a free community dinner/kick-off to Buhler Frolic at the Buhler High School fb practice field (just northwest of the BHS football stadium)

9 p.m. (or if it's raining and you want to go earlier!): Drinks and catching up at Polo Bar and Grill Hutchinson KS.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 2:
11 a.m.: Buhler Frolic Parade - classmates are welcome to meet at the fire station on Main Street and watch the parade together.

1 p.m.: BHS tour with Mr. Adkins - meet in the cafeteria

7-11 p.m.: Social Gathering at the Crazy Horse Sport Club & Golf Course, 922 Crazy Horse Drive - While paid reservations were requested for food, we would love to have classmates join us if they weren't able to RSVP yet! Cash bar available; casual dress. Please PM us if you're now able to attend!

Hello, BHS Class of 2001 classmates!

We're gearing up for a fun weekend of celebration next weekend, Oct. 1 & 2. Please refer to the attached graphics for various events and activities to attend.

We wanted to pass along a few updates and reminders from the schedule as we head into reunion week:

* Friday, Oct. 1 - There is a free tailgate party/dinner before the home football game, from 5:30-7 p.m. on the practice football field (just northwest of the football stadium, near the Burkholder Administration Center). This is open to the community. At the game, feel free to sit together near the 50-yard line in the stands. Our class will have a brief announcement/recognition at halftime.

* Saturday, Oct. 2 - The Frolic Parade starts at 11 a.m. For those who would like to attend and see classmates, meet in front of the fire station on Buhler Main Street. At 1 p.m., Coach Adkins (he's still teaching at BHS!) will be giving a school tour to any classmate interested. Meet at the BHS Cafeteria.

* Saturday, Oct. 2 Social Gathering - If you haven't yet committed to our Social Gathering, you still have time! We would like to get everyone's commitment and payment by Tuesday, Sept. 28th. Please refer to the attached Venmo QR code for more information. Our Social Gathering is casual and laid-back, with most of the cost going toward renting the facility so we can enjoy conversation and catching up. Rentals were hard to come by in the Hutch area for the weekend of Oct. 1 & 2, so we appreciate everyone's understanding of going to the Highlands for the evening.

For our gluten-free classmates, please reply to this email if you would like to have gluten-free pizza and we will make sure to have that option available. We'll have Kens Pizza, vegetable trays, desserts from Holly's Sweet Treats, and may have another high school favorite treat to share!

AND...one more thing...(thanks for reading this far!)...we could use your help in spreading the word and staying in touch! Please share details with classmates that we may have reached through email, social media, and texting.
