Kansas Explorers Club

Kansas Explorers Club The Kansas Explorers Club, founded 1994, was created to inspire, educate, and encourage the exploration and appreciation of Kansas...and to have fun doing it!

The club is a project of the Kansas Sampler Foundation. The Kansas Explorers Club is just one project of the Kansas Sampler Foundation. Our mission is to preserve and sustain rural culture. The two full-time KSF staff, Marci Penner and WenDee Rowe, completed their journey of going to every incorporated city in Kansas to research for a new "Kansas Guidebook 2 for Explorers" that published in May 20

17. A new event, the Big Kansas Road Trip takes the place of the Kansas Sampler Festival the first full week-end in May beginning in 2018, and is another project to help educate Kansans about Kansas. We also do a free Explorer Extras e-blast. Sign up at www.kansassampler.org and learn more about many more projects. 🕵️‍♀️🔧⚙️Friday Find: The Copper Shed in Aulne, an unincorporated community in Marion County Kansas.

Keeping the family tradition alive that started with craftsman Ern Hett, his family still sells unique copper art along with a wide variety of antiques for all parts of the home, inside and out at this shop. Open on Fridays and Saturdys, if you drive by and want to shop, pull in the driveway. If the family is home, they are happy to open.

Check out the Copper Shed's listing in the new Online Kansas Guidebook for Google Map directions, hours of operation, and a link to their page. https://www.kansasguidebook.org/attraction/copper-shed/
