Cyclospora cases are still increasing in Michigan, including Wayne County, and the investigation is ongoing. Some residents may be contacted by the Wayne County Public Health team by phone, text, or email. If we contact you, please take a few minutes to answer our questions. Your response helps us identify possible sources of illness and protect the health of our community.

Cyclospora is a parasite that can cause watery diarrhea, stomach cramps, nausea, fatigue, bloating, and weight loss. If you have severe or persistent diarrhea, contact your health care provider. Cyclospora can be tested for and treated.

To help reduce your risk:
🥗 Choose whole heads of lettuce instead of pre-cut salad mixes when possible.
🥬 Wash, peel, and cook fresh produce when appropriate.
🧼 Wash your hands and keep fresh produce separate from ready-to-eat foods.
🔪 Clean cutting boards, countertops, and utensils after preparing fresh produce.

No preregistration required — we’re switching up the sign-in process, but not the teachers you know and love! 🙌🏽

Aaron has been guiding classes in this park with the Yoganic Flow team for 10 years, and we’re excited to keep flowing with one of your favorites. 💚
