Hey, friends!! We are sorry for the delay in sharing our final total this year… but the donations kept coming in! 💚💛

Thanks to our brave shavees and trimees, our generous donors and sponsors, our dedicated volunteers, and this incredible community, the 2026 Norwich St. Baldrick’s event raised an astounding $67,772.47 — making this another record-breaking year and Norwich’s BEST YET!🍀

These funds go directly to lifesaving research to find better treatments and a CURE for childhood cancers — helping kiddos like our 2026 Honored Kid, Ace, have longer, healthier lives and brighter futures.🎗️

“Thank you” just doesn’t seem like an adequate expression of how truly grateful we are to all of you who continue to show up in such a big way. You, our supporters, show us year after year what’s possible when a community comes together with a common mission.✨

For the 5️⃣th year, Carter is choosing to stand with kids facing childhood cancer and helping fund the research that saves lives. Although Carter couldn’t join us in person this year because of his final hockey tournament, he still made sure to show up for the mission in his own way: by raising money and shaving his head at home. 💛

We would like to introduce you to some really cool guys who couldn’t make it to our event last weekend, but they weren’t going to let that stop them from “braving the shave” in support of some very special people!💛💚

With the help of their mom, brothers Kaden Downey and Kolden Downey, along their friend Liam White, went under the clippers to raise awareness for childhood cancer research, to honor their brother, Kellen, who is facing a very difficult health journey of his own right now, and in memory of 2023 Norwich St. Baldrick’s Honored Kid, Lillee Bean Bronson.🎗️💚🫶🏻

In front of the Washington Monument, 1,800 empty pairs of shoes are laid out each year.

Every pair represents a child's life that will be cut short this year by childhood cancer. Empty shoes that will never again run through playgrounds, walk into classrooms, dance across stages, or step onto sports fields.

They're not just shoes, they are powerful symbols of love, loss, and the urgent need for change. Until there's a cure, far too many shoes will remain forever empty. 💛🎗️
