2026–2027 KIDS PROGRAM REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!

The new school year is almost here, and The Place is ready to welcome school-age students back to the KIDS Program for another year of learning, friendships, fun and connection!

Registration is now open for The Place’s KIDS Program for the 2026–2027 school year, providing quality, reliable school-age child care for County families.

Our KIDS Program offers:

• Before-school care
• After-school care
• Homework and academic support
• Enrichment and recreational activities
• Social-emotional learning and prevention programming
• Meals and snacks provided
• Full-day care on many school holidays and school-closure days
• A safe, welcoming place where kids can learn, grow and belong

We know how important dependable child care is for working families. Our experienced team creates a supportive environment where children can start and end their school day surrounded by caring adults, friends and opportunities to learn and grow.

Financial assistance may be available for qualifying families, and we encourage families to contact us with questions about child care assistance and payment options.

🎒✏️ The Place Back-to-School Supply Giveaway is OPEN! 📚🖍️

A new school year is right around the corner, and The Place is once again helping Chenango County students head back to the classroom ready to learn!

For more than five years, our Back-to-School Supply Program has helped local children and teens start the school year with the supplies they need — and we're excited to do it again!

Families can now register for FREE school supplies for their children.

When registering, families will have an opportunity to tell us what their child needs most, and our team will do our very best to fill those requests with the supplies available.

From backpacks and notebooks to pencils, folders, crayons and more, our goal is simple: every child deserves to walk into school feeling prepared, confident and ready for a great year.
