One Person. One Dog. Partners In Life. Since 2002, CaPR has enabled Coloradans with Disabilities to lead more independent and gratifying lives.

Canine Partners of the Rockies (CaPR) empowers Coloradans with disabilities to lead more independent and gratifying lives by training and partnering them with highly skilled service dogs. Canine Partners of the Rockies (CaPR) is an Assistance Dogs International accredited service dog training and partnership non-profit. We do this by providing extensive training to purpose bred pups, a personalized match process and lifetime support for each service dog team.

It's time to celebrate our October birthday pups!

Join us in wishing a very happy birthday to Bu and Slinky! These two are service dogs in training, brothers, and named after otters at the Denver Zoo!

Special shout out to Slinky who just completed his team training as a facility dog!

A big thank you to Chuck & Don's Pet Food & Supplies for supporting Canine Partners of the Rockies!

We’re excited to be the primary donation recipient at their new location and grateful for the opportunity to celebrate with them at their opening event in Arvada!

Community partnerships like this help us continue our mission of creating life-changing service dog partnerships and greater independence for the people we serve.

Thank you Chuck & Don’s and everyone who came out to show their support!

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!

Every service dog partnership begins with a community that believes in what's possible.

From the first days of puppy raising to advanced training and the moment a service dog meets their partner, your support helps make each step of the journey possible.

As we look ahead to Colorado Gives Day, we're celebrating the volunteers, donors, puppy raisers, and supporters who help us create greater independence through service dog partnerships.

Early giving begins November 1. Mark your calendar and join us in making more life-changing partnerships possible.

Two of our service dogs in training had the opportunity to visit the Rose Andom Center!

We toured their trauma-informed space with staff and were able spread some comfort and reprieve along the way.

Thank you Rose Andom Center for all that you do to provide resources and hope to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in the Denver Metro Area.

Our newest litter of puppies went on an adventure to visit Medicine Horse!

Medicine Horse works to enhance mental health and life skills through therapeutic interaction with horses.

We can’t wait for our future service dogs to provide comfort and better quality of life to their future matches!

Thank you Aurora Fire Department Station 2 for hosting our pups in training!

Each dog had the chance to interact with the crew, sniff around and hop on a truck, and even hear the siren! This was a great opportunity for socialization and to test their training in a new environment.

Please join us in welcoming Karina and Aubri and welcoming back CJ!

Our three interns are joining us through the University of Denver’s Master of Social Work program. They’ll be gaining hands-on experience while supporting our clients, applicants, volunteers, and dog training.

We’re excited to have them as part of the Canine Partners of the Rockies team and look forward to everything we’ll accomplish together this year!

We love the opportunity to connect with other like-minded organizations in our city!

At today’s Accessibility Awareness Artisan Market, we were able to meet other local nonprofits that are working to build a more inclusive community!

Thank you Aurora, Colorado City Hall for having us!
