The Loyal Order of Moose is a fraternal and service organization founded in 1888, with nearly 800,000 men in roughly 1,800 Lodges, in all 50 states and four Canadian provinces, plus Great Britain and Bermuda. Along with other units of Moose International, the Loyal Order of Moose supports the operation of Mooseheart Child City & School , a 1,000-acre community for children and teens in need, locat

ed 40 miles west of Chicago; and Moosehaven , a 70-acre retirement community for its members near Jacksonville, FL. Additionally, Moose Lodges conduct approximately $50 million worth of community service (counting monetary donations and volunteer hours worked) annually. Additionally, the Loyal Order of Moose conducts numerous sports and recreational programs, in local Lodges and Family Centers in the majority of 44 State and Provincial Associations, and on a fraternity-wide basis. The Women of the Moose, founded in 1913, is a unit of Moose International, with more than 400,000 women in approximately 1,600 chapters in all 50 states and four Canadian provinces. Along with other units of Moose International, the Women of the Moose supports the operation of Mooseheart Child City & School , a 1,000-acre community for children and teens in need, located 40 miles west of Chicago; and Moosehaven , a 70-acre retirement community for members, located near Jacksonville, FL. The last day to turn in nomination forms for the 26-27 board is Wednesday, March 18. Election Day is Wednesday, April 8 during the regularly scheduled general meeting.

It's election season at the lodge. If you would like to run for a board position, nominating forms will be available tomorrow afternoon from any bartender. Please make sure you check out the change in requirements that were passed at the International Convention last year in Milwaukee. The Nominating Committee will be meeting most Sundays at 10:00AM for interviews with nominees. All board positions are open except for two trustee positions.

Life member Joanette Roethle has passed away. Joanette was active in the Women of the Moose Chapter 644 and a past recorder as well as a Star Recorder for many years. She was also a past deputy grand regent in 1987. A celebration of life is being planned.

To our members
Starting on August 1st, 2025, all family members, including spouses over the age of 21 are considered a prospective member and will be limited to two visits before needing to make an application for membership. Please make sure to sign these prospective members in the guest book. After their 2nd visit, they will not be allowed into the lodge, even as a guest.
Please reference Moose General Law 50.2 if you have questions.

Good Monday morning Moose members! Kitchen today will feature stir fry. Wing Wednesday returns on Wednesday and sausage/pepper sammies on Thursday! The week ends with homemade pork carnita tacos, rice and salsas as part of a quick fundraiser. See you all there!

Reminder that work is beginning on the back yard landscaping/irrigation so please be aware of equipment and be careful if you venture back yonder. We’ll keep you up to date on the progress. There will be times of limited access.

Finally, a shoutout to Tracy K, Ashley D, Courtney, Dawn , Mischi and Amy who are participating in the “62 Mile Walk” this month to help raise awareness of veteran su***de. Feel free to sponsor (cash) this month by giving it to any bartender behind the bar.

You made it!!! It's FRIDAY!!! Queen of Hearts (2166 members only) returns tonight along with Cook Your Own Steak (members and qualified guests). See Amy's earlier post.

Coming up at the lodge, we will have a few maintenance projects happening. The fence on the "North 40" needs to be repaired. Be on the lookout for a "Fence Party" invite soon. More hands make less work, right? Landscaping of the backyard will begin after the 4th of July holiday. Please be cognizant of flags/markings out back as utilities have been marked. Thanks for you help, patience and cooperation.

Happy Pig Roast Eve, members. Reminder there is no Queen of Hearts tonight. However, co****le is on and ready to sweat it out outside. Dani and Veronica will help you cool off while the kitchen serving up sloppy joes and tots ($6.00) to our members and qualified guests.

A few things about tomorrow's pig roast. It is $10.00 to receive your wristband for some EXCELLENT grub. Cash is preferred but you can put it on your card at the bar. Parking on the south side of lodge will be limited. The first row on the north side will be reserved for handicap parking. Thank you.

Guess what day it is? Yep…Hump Day and Wing Wednesday! Thanks to everyone who came out yesterday for “Better than TB Taco Tuesday”. Come in tonight and hang with Donna for some wingy-dingys about 5:30/6. Open at 2 today. Thursday, the kitchen will be offering amazing cheeseburger bombs. Friendly reminder that there is no queen of hearts this Friday. Also, there will be some parking areas roped off as we prepare for Saturday’s pig roast. Thanks for your understanding.
