"PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — The Peoria City/County Health Department is looking to drive down the food insecurity rate for those who make too much money to qualify for assistance.

The Board of Health has made $100,000 available for projects with experience working with food-insecure families. The money will be allocated in amounts ranging from $20,000 to $50,000."

What a day! ⛳💚

Our Annual Golf Outing brought together golfers, supporters, sponsors, and friends for a day of friendly competition, connection, and giving back, all in support of Hunger Resource Network’s mission to alleviate hunger across Chicagoland.

From a great day on the course to our first-ever Game Day Social, we’re so grateful to everyone who showed up and made this year’s event so special.

Most importantly, your support helps us continue providing high-quality protein to food pantries, shelters, and soup kitchens serving neighbors facing food insecurity.

Thank you to our golfers, Game Day players, sponsors, volunteers, donors, and everyone who helped make the day possible.

This community continues to show what can happen when we come together for a shared purpose. 💚
