ISSA applauds the bipartisan introduction of the Safer Choice Program Authorization Act of 2026 and thanks Senators Chris C***s (D-DE) and Jon Husted (R-OH) for their leadership on this important issue. The legislation would formally authorize EPA's Safer Choice Program, providing long-term certainty for manufacturers, purchasers, and consumers while supporting innovation in safer, high-performing cleaning products.

The bill's introduction follows months of industry engagement, including 150+ Capitol Hill meetings during ISSA's 2026 Clean Advocacy Summit, where authorization of the Safer Choice Program was a top priority.

It is a powerful reminder that advocacy works—and that when our industry speaks with one voice, policymakers listen.
