The Ari Foss Foundation was able to help a family by covering cremation expenses for their twins.

While we are grateful to provide support during this difficult time, we are deeply saddened by the loss of these two precious babies. Our hearts are with this family as they navigate unimaginable grief and begin their healing journey.

One of the core missions of the Ari Foss Foundation is to ensure families do not have to face the added burden of funeral or cremation expenses while mourning the loss of their child. We are honored to stand beside families during these moments and provide support when it is needed most.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the MUSC Palliative Care team for their continued partnership and for referring this family to us. Together, we are helping ensure families receive compassionate care, resources, and support during life's most difficult moments.

The Ari Foss Foundation was able to help another family by covering funeral expenses for their baby.

While we are grateful to provide support during such a difficult time, our hearts are heavy as we mourn alongside this family and honor the life of their precious child.

No family should have to navigate both unimaginable grief and unexpected financial burdens alone. It is a privilege to help ease even a small portion of that weight during one of life's most heartbreaking moments.

Supporting families through pregnancy and infant loss is deeply meaningful work—but it can also be emotionally challenging.

Healthcare providers often carry the weight of these experiences long after their shift ends. Recognizing your own grief response, seeking support, and prioritizing self-care are essential parts of providing compassionate care while protecting your own well-being.

Remember:
💙 Secondary traumatic stress is real
💙 Debriefing after difficult cases matters
💙 Staff support resources exist for a reason
💙 Therapy, faith, hobbies, and loved ones can help you recenter

You cannot pour from an empty cup. Caring for yourself helps you continue caring for others.

One of the most common things we hear after pregnancy and infant loss is that fathers and partners often feel like they need to "stay strong" for everyone else.

But strength doesn't mean carrying grief alone.

Grief can affect mental health, relationships, physical health, sleep, work, and everyday life. It doesn't disappear simply because someone isn't talking about it.

This Men's Health Month, we're encouraging fathers, partners, family members, and friends to check in with one another. A simple conversation can make a meaningful difference.

Healing doesn't happen by pretending you're okay. Healing begins when you know you don't have to carry it alone.
