Team PA tallied 9 medals today including SIX(!!!) gold medals! 🥇 Through just two days of competition Team PA has 15 medals!

Kylah Schlott, Sheena Black, Celine Heffron-Pero, Kirstyn Cantres, Michelle Spada, and Ryan Bogan all earned gold medals today, with Samuel Tonkin and Zachary Potter each tallying a silver medal, and Thomas Larsen adding a bronze medal.

The competition is heating up, so stay tuned this week to see who else will bring home some hardware! 🥇🥈🥉

We were honored to have First Lady of Pennsylvania, Lori Shapiro, join us in Minnesota for Opening Ceremonies and spend time cheering on Team Pennsylvania throughout competition. From handing out pins to taking in an exciting Flag Football game (which she admitted may be her favorite sport to watch) her enthusiasm and support meant so much to our athletes.

The Shapiros unwavering commitment to our athletes and our mission is deeply appreciated and having her with us at USA Games made the experience even more special.

Ryan Bogan (Philadelphia) took home a gold medal for Team PA today! 🥇Zachary Potter (Area P) and Samuel Tonkin (Area M) both earned a silver medal! 🥈🥈

Congratulations on all the hard work paying off!

Ryan and Samuel will also be competing in Doubles and Zachary will be competing with his father, Brad Potter, in Unified Doubles this week!

🥇🥇More gold for Team PA🥇🥇 - this time in athletics competition!

Sheena Black (Armstrong/Indiana) won gold in the 1500 M with a time of 8:11.10, winning her race by over 9 seconds!

Celine Heffron-Pero (Montgomery) won gold in the 400 M with a time of 1:30.96, winning her race by over 5 seconds!

Both Sheena and Celine worked hard to get to this point and it showed🥇🥇Congrats to both and good luck as they compete the rest of the week!

🥇 FIRST GOLD MEDAL FOR TEAM PA! 🥇
Swimming athlete Kylah Schlott came to the Special Olympics USA Games with two goals: win gold and beat her personal best.

Mission accomplished. 💙

Kylah captured Team Pennsylvania’s first gold medal of the Games in the 200M Freestyle, touching the wall in an incredible 3:29.85 and shaving almost 30 seconds off her previous time.

Her hard work, determination, and dedication paid off in a big way. Congratulations, Kylah! We couldn’t be prouder! 💛🏅

Gooooood Morning, Team PA! And welcome to the ALL-ACCESS morning show, hosted by Daniel Morales, for EVERYTHING Team Pennsylvania at the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games.

Team PA was dynamic, resilient and determined across all 11 of our sports venues yesterday. From preliminary competition, to riveting games in team sports pool play, everyone gave it their all.

Especially our Powerlifters, who brought home Pennsylvania's first medals of the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games! We check in with our Powerlifting duo of Molly Mathias and Brandon Shoemaker as well as an awesome story of resilience from Flag Football and Josh Groff.

Team PA was dynamic, resilient and determined across all 11 of our sports venues yesterday. From preliminary competition, to riveting games in team sports pool play, everyone gave it their all.

Especially our Powerlifters, who brought home Pennsylvania's first medals of the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games!!
