KB Foundation Mentoring adolescent youth through •📚Educational • 🏅Recreational and •🤝Hands-On Learning

Day 1 of the KB Foundation Youth Enrichment Camp was wrapped up and what a great kick off it was! First day jitters were to be expected but it didn’t stop our mentors from creating pathways to connection with the campers; connections that will allow us to find out how we can best serve and guide each young person.

We are incredibly grateful to Rep. Gregory Scott for his support in making this camp a possibility and to the Norristown Area School District for allowing us to utilize their space for our program. Today was exciting as we learned that some campers already had an interest in what we were offering while others have room to grow into various interests that we’ll be exposing them to for the next 7-weeks. There is so much that will be done and we cannot wait to share it with you!

Thank you to the parents and families that trust us, the mentors that haven’t skipped a beat in showing up, and to our donors and sponsors that help us continue our mission. Exposure Is Life 🌟

Our longtime partners Lincoln Financial dedicated their time and energy into creating a day full of workshops structured around financial wellness, planning, and investment knowledge. The pre-lunch part of the day was lead by Troy Turner who did a magnificent job at connecting with the young ladies and leading them through each workshop. He was met with assistance from KaMeeka Grady who traveled all the way from Florida to speak to our mentees; what an honor we had to listen to her speak about her role and set the ground rules for the day which included: Ask questions!

Kristi Jones created a sense of relativity by reflecting on her temple college experience and why it’s important to seek companies such as Lincoln that pour into the community and make giving back a primary part of their operations. Before the young ladies did a workshop on separating needs from wants, Roderick Williams let them know that it’s okay to be different. And that being cool lies within your ability to stay out of trouble and replace negative habits or environments with those that will help you evolve into your best self.

Arriving in our bus that was donated by Lincoln Financial and the The Jalen Hurts Foundation made the entire day a full circle moment that we hope we can expose more and more youth to as we continue our mission! Exposure is Life 🌟 Thank you Lincoln Financial and your amazing Radnor, PA team for making us feel welcome and offering a lunch and learn that has set the tone for summer for our youth ☀️

What a night.

The KB Foundation Youth Achievement Gala was a celebration of growth, perseverance, mentorship, and the incredible young people who continue to prove what’s possible when opportunity meets youth where they are at.

A special thank you to Janelle Burrell for leading the evening with her signature professionalism, warmth, and grace. Watching her reflect on the journeys of mentees she first met years ago (many of whom are now graduates preparing for college, trade school, and the next chapter of their lives!) was a powerful reminder of why this work matters. We are deeply grateful to our sponsors Gentell INC, Eagle Capital Health Ventures, Canteen | Workplace Food & Coffee, and ontrackplus whose support helps make opportunities like these possible. Thank you to Fitler Club for your outstanding hospitality and for providing such a beautiful space to celebrate our youth.

To our mentors, parents, donors, sponsors, partners, supporters, and volunteers: thank you for believing in our young people before the world fully sees what they are capable of becoming. Your investment continues to create pathways, experiences, and life-changing moments that shape futures.

While the gala has ended, the mission continues. There are still young people waiting for opportunities, mentorship, exposure, and support. If you’d like to help us reach even more youth across our communities, donations are still being accepted. KB Foundation believes that Exposure Is Life and every young person deserves the chance to see what’s possible for themselves.

We are just a few hours away from our Youth Achievement Gala presented by Eagle Capital Health Ventures and our longtime partners in mentorship, Gentell INC. The KB Foundations relationship with Gentell goes farther back than most know! They have hosted our mentees for Lunch and Learns since 2022 and presented at least one fundraiser event a year since then. We are grateful to have them not just believe in our mission but in our mentees. Tonight is a reminder of the impact that becomes possible when individuals and companies put their time, energy, and donations into the power of mentorship.

A big thank you again to Gentell & President and CEO of Gentell, David Navazio, as well as Eagle Capital Health Ventures for hosting what is bound to be a night to remember at the Fitler Club as we celebrate our rising mentees 🌟

1 day away!

Tomorrow, the KB Foundation Youth Achievement Gala brings together mentors, families, supporters, and community leaders to celebrate a group of young people who have spent years investing in themselves through mentorship, leadership development, exposure, travel, career exploration, and opportunity.

This is a chance to honor the hard work, growth, and resilience of students who are preparing to make their mark on the world. Every ticket purchased and every donation made helps create more life-changing experiences for the next generation of KBF youth.

We look forward to having you joint us tomorrow as we celebrate what’s possible when young people are given the opportunity to thrive 🌟

Confidence doesn’t always look like a big moment; sometimes it looks like trying something new, speaking up, making a new friend, or realizing you’re capable of more than you thought.

For five years, the K.B. P.O.W.E.R. Girls Glamp Camp has given young girls the space to unplug, explore new experiences, build confidence, and be surrounded by women who show them what’s possible. The laughs, conversations, challenges, and victories all become part of a bigger story they’ll carry with them long after camp ends.

These photos capture the fun and how the real impact is happening within 🧘🏽‍♀️🧘🏻‍♀️🧘🏾‍♀️🧘🏿‍♀️🧘🏼‍♀️

In just 4 days, the KB Foundation Youth Achievement Gala will celebrate young leaders like Oreace; one of our many mentees that has spent years saying yes to mentorship, embraced new opportunities, and focused on what they could learn from trusted adults who challenged them to dream bigger.

This Thursday marks the moment we see how they are ready to take everything they’ve gained and turn it into their next chapter. Your ticket purchase is an investment in the future of young people who are already putting in the work to become leaders in their schools, communities, and beyond.

We can’t wait to see you on June 11th as we celebrate their journey and help create opportunities for the next generation of KBF mentees 🌟
