We wrapped up our second summer of Youth Enrichment Camp this week and it was a reminder that the best part isn’t just the activities but also the the confidence, curiosity, and newfound levels of responsibility our campers leave with. Each day was filled with a mix of STEM and swimming as well as field trips and hands-on learning making every day another opportunity to grow 🌟

A heartfelt thank you to Representative Gregory Scott & the Norristown School District for believing in and supporting this KB Foundation summer program! We also thank our generous donors and every supporter who continues to believe in our mission. It is the belief that “Exposure is Life” that allows us to continue creating spaces where young people can learn, explore, and see what’s possible 👏🏽

Our 3rd day of camp yesterday included knowledge on self-defense and the biggest lesson wasn’t how to fight; it was how to recognize conflict, avoid it when possible, and make decisions that protect your future. Real strength is knowing when to walk away, and giving our mentees the confidence and tools to choose a different path 🌟

Day 2 reminded us that mentorship isn’t just about conversation; it’s about experiences that challenge, teach, and inspire.

Building new skills and stepping outside their comfort zones is exactly what we want as every activity gives our mentees another opportunity to grow in confidence, strengthen their leadership, and lean on one another. These are the moments that become lifelong lessons, and we’re only halfway through this years camp experience 💫

Thank you to every mentor, volunteer, and partner helping make this experience possible. Here’s to another day of growth and another step toward the young men they’re becoming👏🏽

It doesn’t take long for strangers to start becoming brothers and our group-based mentoring model solidifies that🌟 Today kicked off our 11th Annual Boys Mentoring Camp, where a new group of young men—and familiar faces returning for another summer—began their four days of learning, challenge, and growth. The mentees rotated in three groups, attending a workshop where they stepped into entrepreneurship and financial decision-making as well as some time for them to prepare dinner together with Chef Tania Watson | CEO of Elevated Comfort Food | Catering while another group took on outdoor activities that demanded teamwork, communication, and leadership, every workshop was designed to remind these young men that who they become starts with the choices they make today.

Thank you to Chipotle for fueling our campers with lunch as they arrived, and to every facilitator, mentor, volunteer, and partner who invested their time and expertise into Year 11 | Day 1!

Because of you, our mentees are able to attend camp while gaining experiences, perspectives, and relationships that will stay with them long after the weekend ends 🏕️Here’s to an unforgettable four days that we cannot wait to share with you all 👏🏽

Strong communities aren’t built by one person but by people who choose to show up for one another.

Every mentor, parent, partner, volunteer, donor, and supporter plays a role in creating opportunities that help young people see what’s possible 🌟 That’s the power of community!

It takes a community to create meaningful opportunities for young people. We’re grateful for media brought forth by creatives like Thought Product Media who help capture the moments that tell our story, allowing more people to see the impact mentorship has on the next generation 🌟

At the same time, experiences that’re shown to you all, like visiting Chipotle, give our mentees something just as valuable: exposure to real workplaces, the people behind them, and the teamwork, responsibility, and leadership that turn everyday jobs into meaningful careers. Every experience adds another perspective, another lesson, and another possibility.

Happy Birthday to our Founder & CEO, Kirk Berry🎉

There are a lot of people who talk about wanting to make a difference. Kirk decided to do something about it. Because of his heart for young people, countless mentees have been introduced to opportunities they never knew existed, built lifelong relationships with mentors, traveled the world, explored careers, and discovered what’s possible when someone believes in them. What started as a personal experience of lack of access to mentorship in his community for himself as a young man has become a community that’s changing lives every single day.

Thank you for leading with purpose, challenging us to think bigger, and reminding us that Exposure is Life isn’t just something we say but something we work together to create for every young person who shows an interest in gaining a mentor.

Here’s to another year of impact, growth, and creating opportunities that will reach generations to come 👏🏽

It is important that we are partnered with individuals and organizations that don’t just pour into the next generation, but teach our mentees how they too can be of service to those around them and in their communities. KB Foundation seeks to build a legacy- not just build up a few mentees and “hope” that they they pay it forward when they graduate high school. We do that by showing youth what happens when you commit ample time towards ensuring your community receives the same support and foundation provided to them during these tender years. We remain grateful to partners like Lincoln Financial that truly exemplify qualities like leadership, support, and growth in our community and to our mentees 🌟
