In the race for PA Governor, Treasurer Stacy Garrity revealed she is no friend of renters.

Responding to a question from Pennsylvania Township News, she said:

"I think we have to focus on single-family homes because when people own a home, they have skin in the game. They're going to take care of it. They're going to work in the community, going to stay there, kids are going to go to school there. So....the apartments? I really think we need to focus on single-family housing."

Classism? She's out of touch.

Earlier this month, the PA House committee on Housing & Community Development heard from Kevin Bush, the deputy secretary from Montgomery County responsible for implementing parts of the Governor's Housing Action Plan.

It's worth a watch if you want to learn more about what's in the plan, especially actionable steps at the local and state levels.
